thanks man. I was reading up on these 5 watts and it looks like people get some bleaching with them that close, not to mention I've got 800w of them on top. so I'll be sure to keep a close eye on it as much as I can.

also these LEDs come with 4 wire hangers and they connect onto a single hook that you hang out the bar in the tent. so here's my question, how can I raise these LEDs even more? my next plants are set to grow upwards of 1.5 meters and I will have no room with them hanging down halfway into the tent.

I ordered a set of the ratcheting pulleys and I hope that with that and maybe some PVC, I can rig up a cross member that I can use to raise and lower my LED.. I got mine in today and it's pretty sick!!! I haven't plugged it in, but just feeling the weight and the construction, it feels like a very high end piece of equipment!!

You could always rig up your own pulley system to raise and lower the lights..... Or..... You could mount them at 45deg angles vectoring down towards the center of the plant on opposite sides of the tent, and then perhaps take your 3rd one and mount it right in the middle of the top.. Lots and lots of coverage!!

so I'm on week 6 of 12/12 and I cut most of the sucker leaves off. I had a pretty bad nitrogen OD so maybe cutting them off would get rid of the excess and I've already reached the amount of harvest that I want, so I wanted to experiment and see what would happen if I chopped everything off to get maximum light to all of the bud sites. here's some pics

keep in mind here that I only took the shade leaves big suckers left plenty for photo synthesizing

Hell yeah!!! Do it, to it!!!!!!!! I got my Mars II in, and my tent is up.. Tomorrow is the day when I put my plant under the Mars II for the last couple weeks of its life to hopefully fatten her up for a bit.. Are you gonna start them both at once?!? Do you have another building to do this in?!? lol

lol yeah I'm gonna do them both in this tent. I will do some bending and supercropping to make sure they both got in there and fit

some shots of the baby her purple is really starting to come out. nothing but straight water from here on out! trichs are still very clear so have at least 2 weeks to go

thats beautiful, i love the coloring. what do ur night time temps run?

they get down to like 69 not really that chilly I didn't think so much purple would be involved may be more of a strain thing or some nutrients it's lacking lol

Yea im hoping to get a nice purple pheno this time. just started a journal, im trying some OG#18 X Purple trainwreck. they keep turning out to be more OG than anything else lol. i have been doing the same thing trying to get temps down to the mid or upper 60's. u got real nice one there IMO hopefully u got clones!

Thanks! I didn't cut any clones off her, but I did get some from my white widow and the bubble yum plant and they are in my other tent now some good strains I might add

Auto Mazar, Bubba Kush, and Think Different all set up in the tent on 12/12 for now.

I will pull the bubba in 2 weeks during week 9 and the autos will be fine in there till then. that is when I should start seeing explosive growth in these hempys and I'll switch them over to 20/4 or 18/6

how do u like that LED? ive heard good things lately about them and was considering buying some for myself. how much coverage area do u get? i have no clue how many it would take to replace my 1000w hps on the mover i need them to cover a 4'X8' or 4'X7' area. i know, if im not mistaken, its going to run upwards of $3,000 but now sure what id need

also i wanted to ask u what PH do u water/feed at. i have always done 6.5 in soil but recently slowly dropped it to 6.3 and have seen a lot of improvement in the new growth

Bro there are so many kinda and types of LEDs out there. Would you be growing Christmas trees or scrogging?

I ask that just because a 3W LED might for your needs better. If your budget is upwards of 3,000 I Would look into the California light works LEDs, or black dogs they have nothing but incredible results

Hey patchkid it's been awhile since I've seen your thread. Idk how to add threads to my news feed. But the plants are looking incredible! I started my first grow journal, u should check it out. I just put up a 600w hps right next to my mars 2. I think our gardens are similar but also very different and it's cool seeing the good results your getting with using different methods.
