Hi everyone this is my first time posting on here so not exactly sure if im doing this right, Im in the process of upgrading and building a new room gonna be a basement grow roughly 10x12x6.5 trying to figure out what is the best ventilation set up ? going for an open air room not sealed but i can be swayed to change my mind if its a good set up, the rough layout I have right now is 4 lights 1k a piece air cooled 6in hoods, gonna run the lights side by side in sets of 2 instead of 4 daisy chained in a row (unless that's a better idea) planned on having a 6in fan per each 2 lights, to pull air from the outside of the room through the lights back out the other side. For the room intake I was going to do an 8in fan and filter pulling from the basement air outside the room then intaking it into the room on one end and an 8in exhaust fan and filter mounted high on the opposite end of the room for exhaust and smell, also going to run a floor a/c unit inside the room with exhaust vented out of room and dehumidifier if its needed, should I have another filter and fan scrubbing inside the room by itself also ? anyone have any better ideas ? does this sound ok ? is it overkill with fans is it not enough ? ive been growing for years now just outdoor and 2k indoor grows thanks alot I appreciate any help

I've got about 6 years indoor soil only never hydro though and only open air rooms never done a sealed room. also for this set up going to do roughly 30-40 veg a few weeks grow bags probably 5-7 gallons just trying to figure out the best design and layout for the room and some tips and pointers and some people i can turn too for questions throughout the grow, and thanks man for the reply I appreciate it.

30-40 and veg a few weeks. In 5-7 gallon bags? Are you going for a SOG? Your light footprint will be jammed.

u don't need 5-7 gal pot on a few week veg,i veg 30 days an finish in 3 gal.leave lots of room to work if u can build 10x16 room run the lights down the middle plenty of room to work

If you have 4000 Watts and you want to do 30-40 plants, then you need maybe only 1-2 gallon pots. 30-40 plants in 5 gallon pots won’t even fit the space that 4000 Watts can cover. Other than that you are golden.
yes going for a SOG set up and ok cool, so shoot for 3 gal then ? I really do appreciate all the help and info everyone thank you guys so much, so what do you recommend for my fan and light set up thats kind of where im stuck on set up to use, I was thinking 2 lights parallel with the 2 6in vortex fans pulling from outside the room through the lights and back out, 8in intake fan on one end and 8in exhaust and filter mounted up on opposite end ? is that way to many fans ? any other ideas ? Sorry for all the questions just trying to do it all right and thanks again everyone sorry to keep askin ya so many questions.
