i wish i had 2 hps but i have a 400w hps and i have a 400w MH, im not ready to invest in another ballast or not even a conversion bulb just so i can have 2 hps lights,,
so has anyone ever flowered your plants with equal ammounts of MH and HPS??
any suggestions??

You will be fine, you can flower with any light, its lumens that matters, i no color spectrum as well but they will be fine. I promise

If you have a separate ballast for each one I would say that is a better sinereo anyways. I like giving a fuller spectrum during flowering, the MH add UVB which theoretically helps with trich production, plus I just like MH better, its so bright with bluish edge, not all orangy and redish. I would think the plants would like it better too, but, I guess, hps is a good primary source for indoor flowering purposes.

just make sure you have enough lumens per sqft. a 600w hps puts out roughly 80,000 lumens, if your target is 2500 lumens per sqft, thats enough for 32 sqft

i think its 3500 hundered lummens per sqaure foot and u should use the hps for veg and mh for flower they like the blue spectrum of the light better mh is a darker color low blue specturm

im pretty sure you have that upside down.. the HPS is for flower and the MH is for veg,,

ive been thinking of doing this with a my 250 watt hps. i purchased a longer cooltube and one day i thought i could probably put both a HPS bulb and a MH in there but it wasnt till i read this thread that i am considering those new CMH. also would it be beneficial to do maby 6 hrs of hps then 6 hrs of CMH or MH or would it be better to just leave both on for the 12 hr light cycle? i assume it would be better to leave both on.

I would run them both for flower. If I had to choose one or the other I would decide if I want yield, potency, or a mix. The HPS is good for high yield and can still be very potent but HPS can never reach the same potency alone because it doesn't have the same blue and UVB as the MH. I'd go with the MH for award winning potency with less yield. Buds will be denser and more potent under MH but yield will be 20 - 40% less while most likely the pot will be 20 - 40% more potent..
