400w White Rhino Grow

I've got about a year of relativity successful grows under my belt. This my second attempt with Nirvana Seeds. That last try produced only one female out of the ten femmed papaya/ppp seeds. bummer. The lone Papaya girl is currently 5weeks into flower and seems lonely in my flowering closet.

My Set up is:
400w convertible mh/hps sunleaves lamp w/ internal ballast, but the last couple of grows i've only been using the hps for flower in a 4'x3'x8' closet.

W/ 3 8" fans keeping it nice and cool.

I veg under 8 4' 40w cool/warm t12's

for the growing medium i use ProMix Bx with Fox Farms Nutes gb/bb/tb

Started 10 reg WR seeds in plastic beer cups last night and will repot to 1gal once the roots have touch the bottom of the cup and then 3gal once sex is determined.

I'm hoping for four good females, but could maybe squeeze in 5 or 6.

I'll post some pics in the morning. the lights kick off about an hour ago.

The only reason i've been using the light as a hps only, and not vegging with mh; is because i've been harvesting two plants a month in the room. I like to keep four or five in there at all times, two 4-5weeks apart depending on flowering time of the strain.obv. The bunk seeds kinda screwed that all up for me. Although, I did end up with one true male out of the bunch as well. so, i pollinated the lower branches of the papaya.
Anyone have an idea on how many seeds to expect to come from the popcorn buds?

After planting 4 days ago, they've finally sprouted. I've kicking around the idea of vegging 5 out, and the other 5 12/12 from seed. Anyone have any experience or opinions with WR 12/12 from seed?

Im using 3 105 Watt CFLs, soon I want to get HPS/MH bulbs and ballast kit any ideas?
I would probably need an air cooled hood as well. Because the space I will grow in is very small.

Im curious as well how they will compare.

I haven't read anything about 12/12 straight from WR seed, maybe you could experiment but I would
probably just do one or two.

Idk man, I spent a couple of month researching and price shopping before getting my light. I like htgsupply, myself. If i had to do it over again, i wouldn't of gotten one with an internal ballast. It's a pain in the ass to move up and down. I find myself moving the plants instead. I don't know how big of an area you've got, but i just keep a couple of fans on... my temps stay around 80-85.

I did end up putting five of my babies until 12/12. I figured on the off chance that i would get ten females, i'd never have room for full vegged ones in my room. so, we'll see how this works out.

so it begins

Ok, so it's about day 20 and i just transplanted into 1 gallon pots. I wanted to do it sooner but went to a mtb festival this past weekend, and didn't have the time.

Seems like they're all doing well, only lost one of the ten (dud).

I'll be stepping up the nutes to full strength this week as well.

Also, my Papaya got harvested on monday. So my babies are under the M/H now!

alright so here's the update. I broke down the other day and took a drive up to htg supply, and picked up their large grow tent. So far so good. Seems to be of quality construction w/ no light leaks and plenty of room to grow. With that being said, the tent has nearly doubled my growing space, so i decided to start up 15 papayas; and took 6 w/rhino clones. Should fill the tent up nicely.

As for the Rhino's. they've been in flower for about a week and a half now. I've had three males show and four girls... still waiting on the others to show. once they do, i'll repot one last time into 3gal pots and sit back and wait.
