My only issue has always been patients that think there CG is over charging and they THOUGHT this was gonna be a much better choice.

The big question is: are enough patients able/willing to pay $55.- 1/8 and $360 / oz. plus tax for their medicine?

hello guys.id figure since ive been there a couple of times already i would give a little input.right now they have about close to 20 strains of flower,3 kinds of BHO,dry ice kief and some subcool hash and simpson oil.all the BHO is $60 a gram.i tried all 3 they have,OGkush,medicine man and east coast pure.the OG had the highest THC content at 63.36% & 0.11% CBD.it was pretty smooth and hits hard.next is east coast pure and that is 45.96% THC and 45.21% CBD.this 1 i did not like it was very harsh and very chemical taste not sure if maybe it was not purged enough or something.high was just average.last oil is the medicine man.42.79% THC and 41.45% CBD.super smooth and average high.i guess the last 2 oils would be good for patients looking for the high CBD.for $60 a gram its the extreme top dollar though.since im on the subject of top dollar i think the most expensive strain i saw was the medicine man.it has low THC i think i remember seeing it around 6% but the CBD was very high around 10%.they were charging $65 a 1/8th.there is no medicine that should cost this much.seems like possibly there taking advantage of the fact alot of patients are starting to look into CBDs now.the other strains are well known genetics that THC was anywhere from 10-20%.there highest THC strain is called jet fuel and is around 24%.i believe i payed $17 for a gram.all flower was around $45-$65 for 1/8th. i didnt see anything cheaper than $300 a ounce while most is more.i def. didnt see any diesel for under 200 a ounce as somebody stated maybe it sold out i dont know.most flower looked decent/average nothing super fantastical.the purple wreck,jellybean and jet fuel probably looked the best IMO.next is the subcool hash.it says its a mix of subcools genetics.its a hash im not used to seeing.its light brown in color but almost kief like cosistency maybe more like fine beach sand.very nice buzz.39.17% THC and 0.26% CBD.they sell this for $20 a gram.very fair price and probably the best deal there.the dry ice kief is also $20 a gram.there is a ever so slight green tint to it that is hard to notice but its there.24.85% THC and 0.15% CBD.for $20 i guess its somewhat fair but theres people that would say its expensive.then there is the simpson oil.smallest quantity is 5 grams in a syringe.they charge $200 for it.it looks black but if you smear a small amount on a piece of paper its gold so i guess thats a good thing.im not sure of the going rate of simpson oil so im not sure if that expensive? all in all its nice to be able to have access to medicine at all times,know that there is no mold or bugs,knowing the percentages of THC & CBDs and having a selection to be able to sample different things to see what may work for you but bottom line is your paying a super premium price to have it.

That is by far the worst thing about medical marijuana. Compassion centers stealing caregiver spots from patients. with the mass amounts of patients going to these places, they obviously have no personal experience with each patient. there is no conversation. just a description of what it is they would like you to buy, and what it's medicinal qualities are. the person behind the counter doesn't know you as a patient. you are another customer. if that's the case then just follow Colorado and Washington and put it out there for everyone. I don't pay taxes for my inhaler. why should I pay taxes on medical marijuana. LEGALIZE IT IF YOU WANT TO TAX IT! or let go of compassion centers and have caregivers available for more than a fraction of medical card holders. Too many restrictions on medical, including 2 patient per caregiver/2 caregivers per patient. if they made it legal then why restrict it? people are still going to grow more, and grow outside of the medical community. the only hope we all have is to teach the world how to grow. you can't stop billions of people from growing.

you're always going to pay high dollar at the stores, but what do you guys typically get zips for between caregiver/patient or street for high quality nugs?

medical grade I can get off the street is 350/oz average, that's granddaddy purp(currently, can change strains next week) caregiver's charge from 250-450. but you are not paying taxes on any of that. but the real question about medical marijuana is where are the insurance companies? where is their payment? why have medicine and insurance if you still have to pay out of pocket and taxes on top of that? why not just get it off the streets? you still have a "license to carry".
I give my patients free zip each month come harvest and then 200 each. Was going to do 175 for awhile but since meds end up sitting around and wont go any faster if cheaper i gotta stay at 200...
another reason why should allow more patients per caregiver, each caregiver can get as much per plant as they want depending on knowledge(to an extent lol). Caregivers dont wanna be illegal by having it sitting around an will turn into butter then charge a premium For the bud to pay bills ect. If we could posess more reasonably or have more to dispence to we could take less for donations since we legally could give out more in same time frame. Another words, take donations for a lb in months time from many patients and it be cheap or 5-9 oz mabe an have to xharge more. Either way our bills are the same to pay. Also, not like the meds are bad either. My pineapple express found its way into a ton of cardholders hands since i had to spread it accross bunch of caregivers to be legal, they loved it. Just couldnt legally take donations for it.
thats why dispensary is a funny thing cause they charge min 300 a zip an can give to ton of patients. An idc about overhead escuse cause they can have 99 flower plants which is serious an cover overhead off 12plants which a patient is allowed AS WELL AS, hold onto over 90 lbs!. So cardholders should not feel pitty cause theyre bills... i will NEVER get 300 a zip from a patient and if i asked for that i would be called a drug dealer(which i was in another thread for asking 225) but yet people will swarm the dispensary for 440 a zip.
it is what it is though, no hard feelings to them cause thats what a buisness does and is. Just dont preach about needing the start up and for the community to pitch in with cheap cheap numbers and then rape it but still act like part of the community when in real life theyre making a buck just like any of buisness.

So, if I, as a grower am going to get the same price for crap as I would my super potent strain that doesn't produce that much that takes a long time etc.

People Like you make growers like me want to keep growing. When I come across a patient in need, I know one day it is bound to happen, I will make sure I have what they need at no cost. I'm not even a caregiver at the moment.(yes I understand how I shouldn't be doing it and blah blah blah) my only patient filled his spots up before even talking to me. THANKS TO SLATER! there is only one other person I know who would even consider doing such a thing, Giving quantity of weed away. and he's 85 living in upstate NY, so he is no good to patients down here.
Why i say raping the community is cause he buys a 2k for most exspensive purchase and its is on shelffor 440 oz. You tell me thats not rape lol? In a walkthrough he said he needed cardholders to take a 'haircut' so that he can get going and benefit the community since he wouldnt be charging more than 250 a oz. (Couldve said 300 like lbh said but i swear it was 250) either way being a 440 is just obserd. Cardholders growing in there house takes more risk police/neighbor and robbery wise and is scrutinized for asking tad over 200. Atleast if he is raided they just go into his place and make sure its in order an they open next day.
personal experience speaking. Cardholders get choked/punch/slapped by LEO until they are given what they want Then threatened into an arrest cause they found a card inside making it legal. If caregivers are ment to be a permanet solution for patients then we deserve more rights and dont deserve to have to worry about family or jailtime for a cop thinking drying bud was already dry an we over our limit(when bud could be hanging for a day).

I honestly hate to say it but im starting to believe more of what i heard before. Caregivers/patients get dispensary on there feet. Then state tries cutting cardholders rights in half which were shity to start. Then dispensary charges 440 a zip to patients. Eventually caregivers are completely cut out forcing patients to pay what dispensary wants giving no option so the state can regulate tax and product... so when cardholders give in to meds being sold so crazy and paid so cheap they are eliminating there rights in the future.

medical marijuana is not a solution to anything. it was a great attempt by someone to start the flow, Give it 1 year. watch the revenue from cannabis in Washington and Colorado. once the senate and house realize, what money is to be made, and the career opportunities it will open up for MANY unemployed americans, They will come to their senses and dismantle the prohibition act. The process is too long. all because Marijuana is listed with the worst drugs out there. It's a Schedule 1 hallucinogenic; the same category as LSD(don't get me wrong, everyone should try it once. lol) but I've never in my 14 years of smoking bud, tripped. the government must have been worried about it becoming as popular as the original recipe for Coca Cola.

I have one of our strains in there but because it's an obscure name (Upstate), I'm afraid folks won't try it (because they never heard of it)
Not sure what it hit for thc but I'd guess mid teens. It's a cheese/pine cross that's pretty delicious. For an Indica dom, it leaves you very capable of working through your day, hence the name. Anyone tried it yet? We are thinking of running it again because it's so consistent but would change the name if it's not selling.

My opinion on the whole thing is that we need to give them a month or so to get up and then, if prices don't change on both ends, you'll probably see a revolt in the community. I'm out on this run, my protesting days are over, but the masses (meaning the grow community), in general, are not happy.

If it rolls out like this, the black market will continue to supply the majority of the state, including the patients. Either way, I don't know ANYONE who has been growing for any amount of time who will NOT grow should the rights be removed. Back underground but fuck me,....it's in my blood now, part of my therapy, etc. I am, and always will be, a cannabis cultivator

i have been warned of that place,doctors from out west set up shop here and push a bunch of recomendations for awhile.i heard the DOH is investigating them.if the DOH shuts them out they will stop signing for RI and theres a high chance your card can be revoked.just like 11th state where the DOH went back like 6-8 months on there patients and cancelled there cards.i sent them a email asking questions about how they are signing with no medical records required by law among other things.i did notice they changed there website and now want records.they never got back to me with answers.just be carefull with that place.there would be nothing worse than to pay money to get a card for it to be taken away by the state.
