45 Pt/day GE dehumidifier for $140 @ wal-mart

I was on the hunt for a dehumidifier today and quickly realized they're very expensive. I almost bought a 50pt/day unit for $168 at home depot on special until I saw this GE 45 pt/day model for $140. I added a 3 year warranty for a total of $163.20 with 2 day shipping. That's A) dirt fucking cheap for a unit this large and B) a great value compared to the other options available, and C) the fastest shipping I could find from any supplier.

What I like about buying something like this from wal mart is that if there is any issue I initiate a claim online and I get a refund issued immediately. No hassle. No problem. They rarely ask you to send shit back because they lose so much money on shipping and processing the fucking return. It's more cost effective for them to say fuck it and issue your refund. Hell, you could probably initiate a claim and get your money back then keep the working unit. Love the way the new efficient world works because of over population and greedy capitalist companies implementing new cost saving measures that favor the consumer heavily :)

To buy this thing new would have been $242 plus the protection plan and sales tax would have put me at almost $300. Double the price with the exact same warranty? No thanks. Invoice total: $172.78 with 2 day shipping at wal mart. Home depot was gonna make me wait until 4/2 for shipping and the no name unit was going to cost me another $25. Nice! I wish I'd gone with that size, I have a 25 or so pint that has been running basically 24/7. I empty a five gallon bucket of water every other day from a 400 sq ft space...but my rh is in the range I want. Hopefully it lasts a while. I like my GE air conditioner, I bet they make a good dehumidifier.

I actually am rocking the 25 pt/day model now. The brand is soleus air. Got it used off craigslist something like 5 years ago. Never had a problem with it. I think I paid $100 for it. But the garden has grown since then and she can no longer keep up with the demands of the flower room. I'm just barely able to keep my 12x16 room under 50% and I haven't even gotten into humid summer weather yet. I actually am a fan of GE products. I own one of their 10,000BTU portable AC units and it works fantastic! I don't wanna talk about what I paid for that fucking thing with a 5 year extended warranty :)

I've been told not to give advice because I'm a newbie but I use that water.
