Ccoastal Dude nice set up/ plants /style
I just started using Roots Organic soil and nutrients. can you tell me how much you feed them and how often? Do you ph your water?
I started from seed and my water is town supplied about 8ph(i use a filter to remove the chlorine) before I add 20 mils grow and it ends up about 5 ish. is that good to go with the RO soil?
Can you give me a few pointers? Please don't tell me to use the search. I'd rather hear it from the horses mouth.
thanks Bro
Peace
hey sorry man, i must have skipped over your post!
i pay no attention whatsoever to ph with these nutrients, theres no need to! thats what i love about organics.. your not feeding the plant your feeding the
mycos.
i also dont use RO water, my water here is pretty clean and the chlorine evaporates readily in my 30 gallon tank, the treatment facilities here are also very green concious and dont use chloramine (chlorine bonded with ammonia for longevity, which can take weeks to evaporate without treatment) as our water infastructure is really not that far of a shot from source to plant and finally to plants!
if you are using RO water, i suggest you but botanicare cal/mag+ as it has trace elements in it.
my schedule depends on the plants. normally i water, feed, water, feed, water, water, feed. if a plant is looking especially hungry i may feed twice in a row, but never up the ppm. only increase the feeding frequency.
right now as they are very mature i am using as follows
Buddha Grow: 15ml
Extreme Serene: 5ml
Trinity: 15ml
Ancient Amber: 5ml
i mix nutrients in 5 gallon buckets which hold 4 gallons comfortably
i also add 15ml HPK or HP2 (i stagger) per 4 gallons, as some plants such as magoo will feel hungry for some K
Oregonism XL is probably one of the most important IMO for healthy and vigorous plants, even tho Roots has mycos in it, they always respond well to a soil drench of Oregonism XL every 3 weeks, and again at the transition into flower. any time i transplant i will wet a finger and dab it into the Oregonism where it sticks to my finger, when i pull the plant from its pot i will wipe the Oregonism onto the roots. it doesnt take much as its alive and will reproduce so i little goes a long way, but you need direct contact to the roots.
i dont foliar feed in veg but i will stagger feeding clones with Extreme Serene and Trinity, do not mix them use them seperately. it seems to speed the rooting process without sacrificing leaves. the reason i dont foliar in veg is that im on the coast so i always watch humidity and transpiration like a hawk as a spike can spell disaster due to fungal infections.
i hope this helps you some, if you have more questions feel free to ask. i enjoy helping people out so dont sweat asking
