God I remember their was talk about doing it in a SHOT glass this round, lol
lol, I saw some shot glass size red solo cups in Canadian Tire and almost bought them to put in beside the party cup as a joke. Now that would be quite a challenge to grow anything in that size cup, maybe next round? ;)

As far as the judging and prizes, whatever, being a virgin to this solo cup thing and 12/12 from seed my goal was just to see if I could finish a grow and get one toke off it. If I can keep it alive for another 3-4 weeks I'd be happy as a pig in shit, this thing's looking like it could produce a qtr. This little 12/12 station I built is going to run 12/12, 24/7/365, likin it :)

Ok lads, here's my final update. She's dry, ready to be jarred, and cured. She's super dense and firm. I'm pretty pleased at my 1st attempt to grow 12/12 FS. Makes me think I'll do more of these party cups in the future. I think I could do even better if I dedicated more prime space under the light. With this one, she was always on the side of the panel, until the last couple of weeks, when I pulled out a few other plants to make space.

First few photos were from the day I chopped her, so you can see all of the sweet colouring, before drying/trimming.

Living in a dry climate sucks on the skin, but makes drying plants a quick and easy task. The danger is leaving your plants to dry too much, as I've had that happen, thinking I was good for another day.

Its hard to believe mine is the first contestant down. Though I may not win this comp, I think it sets the bar pretty high for all you that come afterwards. Here's my final picture show...enjoy!

KineBosin I have a hard time believeing that your plant is actually dry already, didn't you just chop it like 2-3 days ago? What are you doing to dry it? With a stem that big running thru the middle I would think at least 3 to 5 days before jarring prolly more like a week, but then again if your buds aren't quite as dense as I'm used to maybe you can dry a little faster.

I chopped Mon. Hung 3 days in ventilated tent with oscillating fan, then in paper bag ~ 36 hrs.

If Canada had a desert, I'd be living in it...super dry here.

She's dense ... no question.

Heck, even my larger plants dry within 5-6 days here.

I see the confusion, looking back in the threads...I had already chopped when I said I was going to chop...brain disconnect.

Had to double check my records. I scrawl shit down on paper, with dates I feed, chop, etc...

Very nice job Kine! But I'm gonna have to agree with Sandy, their is no way that's 20g DRY even with the stem on(you left too much on the bottom too:P). Look at mine from the last comp, it was significantly larger, coming in at 24-25g. Probably needed a day or two more drying IMO. I'm not calling you a cheater in any way grower!!!

Still a nice entry and you should be in the top 5, how many growers are left now?? where the hell is JIMJIM at anyways???

I generally put into jar by feel, not by # of days, although I do like to long cure mine, so I usually will try to put them in jar a little earlier.

The prob where I live is, another 12 hours is sometimes too much, I don't want them to dry out too much.

I'm sure the stem also represents a fair bit of weight.

And I leave much of the sugar leaves on regularly. Since I don't sell, and don't smoke...I vape / ingest everything that has crystals.

That's why I wasn't getting too hung up on weight. :)

I dont mind de-stemming mine though, if that makes people happier. I don't want any issues. I didn't do this for the prizes. I was just seeing how much I could personally grow 12/12 fs. It was a great experiment.

I live in the desert and it takes 5-7 days to dry. When I lived at the beach and mountains it tool 8-10 days to dry smaller buds
not to be a dick. It still looks fresh to me. You can tell by the leaves alone.

Like I said earlier, Hyroot, regular sized plants take 5-6 days to dry here...to jar satisfaction, for me.

This is one smaller stick, so I'm not surprised it's taken less time to get to the jar stage, for me.

As I said earlier (again), I judge what constitutes dry enough to jar by feel. It's the same as I do every time I harvest, this is no exception.

I don't mind re-weighing it in another week or 2 or 3 or 10 for that matter, whatever pleases the masses. It'll sit in the jar until further called upon.

Again, as I previously said, I'm not looking for any issues. I think I've been pretty communicative of my updates thru this process.

I'll be gone all weekend so here is my update. I think this one is super sativa. More of the mulanjie pheno. It's been flowering for around a month and looks like it has 2 months left still .:wall: oh well. Trichome development hasn't even began. Either pheno should be colorful and frosty though.. back under the inda gro

jillybean x mulanjie gold

How long have you had your IG, Hyroot? I was looking into them when I was looking for alternatives to HID, but decided to invest in the LED technology instead, due to more people talking about it/using it. I'm now well invested in the tech, so not likely to switch anytime soon (especally now that I've got an XGS-190 on order).

i got them in early - mid december. there pros and cons to each techs... i have one side of the room coverd by Ig and the other has one a51 led panel. plan on adding 3 -5 more a51's eventually. my next led investment will be diy cree cobs for veg

If you were to do it over again, would you go IG? How do you find it compares to the A51?
im doing my first flower with a51 so cant really say on that. my ig420 vegged at the same rate as the a51 sgs160 in flower mode. the ig covers alot more area though. with led, the roots seemed to grow more. the ig plants were watered twice as much. but the ig plants are all in air pot style grow bags and the led plants are in regular grow bags. they was probably more of a factor in watering times.

the strains i have now are from seed and the first Ive done of them. So its new territory some what. they have a week left of veg most likely
