Okay if I have a 4x4 tent but a 3x3 flood table in there.. Will I still need a 600watt light? Will Since my plants will be sitting in the flood table wouldn't 300watt QB suffice?

I would use 430w Quantum Board if you go that route. Or whatever. Slightly more than 1/3rd. Maybe even 450.

600w Single Ended like a Hortilux HPS is best in its class for HID, and is recommended for 3 x 3. 1000w Hortilux HPS is good for 4 x 4.

The best of the best LED.. Gavita 1700e/Phillips are 1/3rd more efficient vs the best single ended HID. Gavita is 1700 umol for 645w, and the Phillips, which wont be out until 1-2020 wont be sold than anything less than lots of 40 at $800usd each. They are 635w, and 1800 umol. 1000w Hortilux is 1600 umol.

Well a 4x4, IMO, should have a 1000 watt SE HPS.

A 3x3 would do just fine with a 600 watt SE HPS, many people do it, just don't have the light too close as you are on the high end of light intensity but some of the plant canopy may grow wider than the 3x3 so all is good IMO with your 600.

I would do 4 x 132 qb kit, on a single HLG-320H-36A driver, as really that's all you need for a max 3.25 x 3.25 space if you go the qb route! And no heatsink(s) will be needed!

Your 3x3 table of plants should still fill a 4x4 canopy once fully grown and require enough light to crush that space.

Minimum 600w hps ... I'd run a 1k if heating/cooling isn't an issue. If money isn't an issue I'd throw 600w of top bin leds in there and call it a day.

315 cmh, as much as I love mine, it won't come close to covering a 4x4 properly. Honestly I think anything more than 2.5x2.5 is pushing it .
