4x4 veg light suggestions

Veg lights don't really matter much. Anything with enough juice will do. You might want to get a T5 for seedlings and clones though. They make it very easy to not screw up your little plants.

Most cost effective is buying a 600w ballast and run 400w MH for veg and 600w HPS for flower. Analogs are dirt cheap nowadays.

You can find a complete pack with reflector for probably under 80 bucks. 600w HPS that is.
I heard since hps’s are so hot they end up burning off some trichomes, also they’re much more fidgety with the temperatures im told.

What week do you think I should stop using the t5’s? Should it be one week after I plant the seeds in the medium?

You will have an easier time with a vented hood and 600w HPS than running LED's. The numbers are all over the place with LED's and the intensity can be hard for a beginner to dial in with low ceilings.

I know because I run both. Currently one flowering 600w HPS tent and one 650w LED.

Once they're big enough to transplant. I've grown plants through their entire veg cycle under them, but it's not really advised because the light has horrible penetration beyond a few inches.

I don't use AC in my veg room with LEDs. They don't need to go that hard.

I think I found a 600w hps for a decent price some time ago. It was a holticulture I think. Have you smoked bud from both your led and hps and can you tell any differences?

Potency is about the same. LED's are just more efficient and you get more usable photons per watt with LED's and you'll yield more than comparable HID.

There's pros and cons with both technologies but IMO its way easier to start out with HID's, especially as you are able to run lower temps in hydro.

To get better result than 600w HPS I need to spend somewhere around 500-600 bucks for comparable LED while the HPS only cost about 80-100 bucks.

I'd go LED. LED drivers let you dial in light intensity. I'd also go with a bar style light for the spread and penetration. I use a umol Technology light from Alibaba. It was a little over $700 shipped US.
