I was watching a greenhouse seeds video about gr8 white shark - which Im currently growing. It said they were giving it water at 5.5 ph?? Is that right? Should I do it with mine?? I thought it should be more neutral..

were they growing hydro or soil ? 5.5 seems off to me
i grow great white in soil and i certainly wouldnt frop my pf that low in my water and i'm not seeing any problems. as a matter of fact its growing twice as fast as my lavender and has fan leaves that are 8 inches accrossed

I haven't seen the video but it sounds like they are probably giving it 5.5ph water to balance out a higher ph in soil or whichever medium.

Most of the strains they grow with a 5.5 PH...that's what i used for white rhino from them, and the plants were awsome..it's what they reccommend so it's what i used.

I grew White Rhino..it was however back in '96, but no matter it's the original. Since then i have crossed it with God Bud and now have some of that going. Nice buds so far and great growth a perfect mix of the 2 breeds.

I have never grown GWS, but i hear it's pretty good shit, good luck with your grow...i too have yet to harvest any as well, I have 3 flowering, 1 from seed, and 2 that are from my mother.

Keep us updated, i'm interested to see this.

I can't see 5.5 pH being the best ratio for water in a soil grow. Someone mixed plants and came up with the strain you have, but it wasn't biologically manufactured... what that means to me is that if everything else is held equal 5.5 is too low.
Too many variables to know why 5.5 is working for you, but I reason to guess its not just the plants designer.
5.5 is a number that I hear of and think HYDRO.

GWS is one of the best strains you can get. I only grow GWS. 5.5 is low, I do 6.3-6.5 and use a promix HP for my soil. This strain can take a beating and still give you great return and knock you on your ass.

I have seen this video, it is a nice video to watch. GWS can even take higher EC than they say, much more.
