good to see and read of your progress. I'll be receiving my TGA seeds soon I expect. I am looking forward to watching your gro. Good luck!
I'll try to get some pic's up tomorrow. The Vortex in a glass (VG) is throwing crazy roots. All the plant growth has about stopped while they are forming and the size of the one in soil compared to this one is very aparent though they are the same age. I'm hoping this stress hasn't already messed this plant up. Although I think any male i pull from these seeds can only help my genetics from the seeds I am already growing.

SD#4 is doing fine. I put it outside with the others but kept it out of direct sunlight. Vortex#4 is still waiting to go in soil. DQ#3 (?) has cracked and will go in soil some time tomorrow. Still waiting on DQ#4.

So a quick recap shows all seeds except the retarded SD#2 cracked and pushed through the soil. SD#1 died as it got to the surface. DQ#1 died by it having a long unsupported stem and being put out side where the wind blew it over and broke the stem killing it. Should have tried to root it but didn't think about it. Vortex#1 also got blown over and broke the stem. This time I Quickly put rooting compound on the stem and put it in water ph'ed to 6.5. I added 5 drops of Clonex solution to the water. It is throwing roots out all over and will be back in soil in a few weeks. All the seedlings have their 6th node forming and all have node growth already.

Pic's tomorrow.....

The Vortex #4 still hadn't cracked yet. I gave the seed a little squeeze and the seed was split but it was mush inside. The DQ#3 was like that also. I'm starting to wonder if some of the seeds got smashed in the mail. Neither of the DQ seeds have pushed out of their seed husks. I dug them up to look at them because they didn't seem right when I put them in the soil either. So I decided to throw 3 more DQ's in to germinate and will basically write the other ones off.

I do think they got smashed in the mail now that I think about it because the outter part of the package had been ripped in one corner. I bet that's why they looked to be cracking when the water got insede the husk and started to hydrate the seed making it swell enough to look like it was growing. I expect to find more now, hopefully not many. So any way #5, 6, and 7 went in a paper towel today.....

Today is 2 weeks behind the last cycle so I put the last of the old in to the flower room and moved them all around again. I shut down the upper cabinet to save on the energy.

The seedlings went outside today again for some sun. They are getting big. The JCII is growing a second set of leaves on its first node growth and has a set of leaves at the second node. All of them have leaves forming at the bottem nodes. The JCII is also the tallest by an inch or so. Almost all of them have 7 finger leaves on the 4th node. I'm not seeing any double serated leaves on the only DQ I have so I'm thinking it may lean the cindy way. I put the Vortex in a glass in some soil today, it's way behind in growth but it's still alive. I never thought it would have made it this far.....

I went through and looked at all the seeds that I got and sure enough I found several more that were squished in the mail. There were a total of 4 DQ's, 3 SD's, and 2 Querkel, which I haven't germinated any of the Querkel. I am waiting for my next grow for the reeferman grapefruit and Querkel. I will send Brad an email but I doubt they are going to do anything, but who knows (I did pay for them). That's 9 seeds that got smashed. I won't give away their stelth method that cost me $15 extra but the package was damaged when i got it. I didn't notice anything right away because all the seeds I started with germinated.

yea that damage risk is sometimes a real pain. a balance between stealth and protection. There are ingenious ways and some work better than others. I have been fortunate, though this last pkg may have some damaged seeds. I need to get some germinating, so I'll find out soon enough. Good luck with the rest of your work. You're making progress. It's all good. Walk On!~

You guys were right on..... I sent an email to Brad and let him know about what had happened and i got an email back asking for my address again so he can see what he can do. Thanks Hempdepot! They seem to be a bunch of good guys and I will definately do business with them again. At least I know why I was getting germination in less than 48 hours on the seeds until I ran across the damaged ones, and it had nothing to do with genetics.

DQ#5,6, and 7 germinated and went into soil. I picked up $70 worth of soil at the local hydro shop. I got the FF Ocean and Light Warrior. This time I'm adding worm castings and bat guano to the mix. I put 3 parts Ocean, 1 part Light, 2 parts worm and about a cup of bat shit in for good mesure. I mix it all up in a bucket and fill the pots after a layer of rock for drainage. All the new pots will have this mix when I transplant the seedlings. I should see some improvement over the last batch just from the soil.....

hey sounds like you got urself a great mix with nutes and soil. Are you planning to water with nuted water as well? or plain water? I be still watching. Getting closer to germing some of my own TGA seeds, and will let you know to invite you to watch if you're interested. Good luck with that mixture. Walk On!~

Transplanted into bigger pots and gave them new soil. I moved the plants up to the upper shelf and will use the lower for the mothers and clones when the time comes. Will post pic's in the morning. The Vortex is the largest by 2" or so. All the plants show good growth at the lower nodes. DQ, Vortex, and JC #2 had the best root growth. DQ #5 and 6 have come through the soil and i can see #7 it just hasn't grown enough to make it through the soil yet.

I got an email from Brad at Hempdepot today and he dropped some replacements in the mail today. I would recommend them highly for ease of ordering, paying, and shipping. They stand behind their products and even though they didn't have to they sent me replacements. They will continue to get my business. I was looking through their seeds and may make another order this fall with some Joey Weed selections.

Pic's tomorrow.....

The soil should carry them for the next few weeks then I will be adding my nutes working them into a routine. I'm looking for high nitrogen to get the extra growth boost.

I've read about coco but I have also read about the guano and worm castings and decided to go that route as the soil is the same mix i've always used. I've now got 4 DQ's going instead of 2 because before i noticed the damaged seeds I thought I was doing something wrong and got mad, so I threw 3 more in thinking they wouldn't take off. But like I said earlier, it wasn't anything genetic it was just damaged seeds. I'm saving the Querkle for another grow with the grapefruit from reeferman seeds. So I'll be watching for your grow and smoke report.

I was going to top the plants at the 8th node but have decided against it as I want to wait until it has 10 or 12 and take the top as the first clone and forcing the lower nodes to start growing into branches. I will flower the tops while I wait for the rest of the plant to give me enough growth at the nodes to clone. This way i don't have to wait forever to get some smoke from these strains. I figure it will be another week or 2 before they are ready to do this, then another 3 weeks for them to root and then straight to flower. This will give my flower room to clear out. They started their 5th week on the first batch last night. The second batch will be 3 weeks Thursday night and 1 week for the last batch. I have several plants that were seed and didn't take clones because I got the new genetics that look very nice. I have one strong sativa that I did take a clone from that has the biggest buds in the room right now. I will get some pic's of them later tonight. I didn't want to keep these genetics anyway and the clone got put into flower on the last batch.

Here's what I did last night.....

I have 4 DQ's, 3 Vortex, and 2 of the JTR, JCleaner, Snowdawg, and Chernobyl. I was germing 2 of each strain I got from TGA except the Querkel. I'm saving those for another grow with the Reeferman Grapefruit. Then after the Vortex snapped off at the base I germed another of them thinking it would die but it shot roots for days and has made it back to the soil. I was also having trouble with the DQ's and got mad and germed 3 more of them. It wasn't until I started looking into why the seeds looked to be cracking but not sprouting a tap root that i found 9 seeds damaged in shipping. I asked Brad if there was anything he could do thinking that he would say sorry but shit, he put replacements in the mail yesterday. Hempdepot is where you should buy your TGA seeds my friend. Send Brad an email and let him know you talked to me and that i gave him props. He will hook you up. They shipped to me in the states.....

I don't have the room to keep all of them going so I will be selective and keep only what i like the best.....
