That first one may be identical to a blackstar 500 or not but its certainly not a lighthouse hydro blackstar 500. its listed as E=paradise. Its actually got twice the warranty the lighthouse hydro blackstar do.

if they put out like the blackstars than it could be a pretty sweet deal.
I'm running 3 blackstar 500 in a 4by4 tent and in comparison (identical plants , identical feeding ) a 1 kw hps in flower. The actual wattage being just about the same, the hps is killing the led . someone show me one decent blackstar grow with nothing but that from start to end. I'll be able to show you that in several weeks(whether decent or not). luv them in veg but I've got 3 for sale that have very little use on them. I actually over bought, I find there's nothing wrong with the panel other than in flower where they claim to specialize they're a bit lacking.

yeah testing my chinese hydroproled 336x pro 620w LED on a 48x48 tent, loving it, made me order more.
so wait, after reading your other thread on the spectra you're actually dropping a couple grand on another led panel?

LED aren't ready to be used on their own, I really don't care what brand or how many you have, its not time and may never be. in conjunction with HID of some type I'm sure they're great (I'll find this out next cycle).

Sorry dude, but that's bollocks!!! You don't know what you are talking about. What really no one should care about, is your assumptions.

Thiis was done by Pinstripe end of 2009; with 17 Osram Golden dragon plus, 12 reds, 3 warm whites and 2 Royal blue... all run at 500Ma total wattage 22w. Yield was 38g dried

ah , I see, you wanna grow a zip of weed, ok, led is fine. I do have a good idea about what I'm talking about in my case I'm doing a side by side comparison with led with about the same actual wattage in LED and HID. Sorry dude, the HID is killing the LED.

Blactstars right? your first attempt as well? have you got temps dialed in for the LED's? Dont expect much from blackstar anyway.. at least do not expect the same as Osrams.......

The difference in rooms is enough for me to realize LED isn't in any way going to keep up with HID, that's the only thing I'm stating.

I'd also be interested in the major differences in the "premium" diodes as opposed to the knock offs?specs?

mmmmmmmmm....... ok sorry I have been harsh, last thing am here for is arguin or disrispecting your first hand experience. But you stated big things in your first statement I commented on. Competing with HID, given biig set up's, is more/too much expensive to archieve.. but with right components and big money is possible for sure!

It's prob best to stick to HID for very big setups to date? Or a combo, the way you want to go

ledgrow.eu, the guy just started selling his panels, he just harvested 152g from 112w of LEDs (Cree-xpe + Rebel emitters)

And anyway, in general, first LED grow is always a bitch! Hope you'll see better days with your panels!

oh I'll agree about led being different to grow under, but not that much really, the only real major thing here is I went to RO and didn't supplement cal/mg but the good news is I'm off to my fave hydro stores second anniversary bbq and sale and will pick some up (among other things).

The diifference lies in efficiency; The more efficient the more photons and the less wattage employed.

Some Chinese stuff is improving real good.. but to date top notch brands are still way better!
