Is 30" too close for 14 day old seedlings? Started at 45" then kept lowering till now. The light is 500w MH, 1000w dimmed 50%. I usually start with my 125w cfl but I broke the bulb same day my shit came out of the paper towels. Anyone else start with an hid lamp?
My temps are golden, not an issue. 73-77f and I have a hurricane outtake fan and oscillating fan on 24/7.
Also how do they look for 14 days? do these looks Bout right for 13 or 14 day old seedlings should I be worried?? I been having low humidity since they popped, 30% will the lower RH cause them to take longer to really start growing/ taking root?

I run a 400w MH/HPS throughout my whole grow and they seem to do fine. I just dim it down when they're seedlings to 50% like you did, granted it's 300w less but it shouldn't be a problem. Of course it's not ideal for seedlings but they'll do fine. They look good for 2 weeks from seed so I wouldn't worry about that either. You're looking good so far dude, keep it up!:bigjoint:

this might be handy, I've had to do this ..myself at times
Do you remember what distance you were at with seedlings? I'm worried that the lamp is too far away, but don't wanna risk lowering it too much. I could defiantly get it way closer with nice temps, if I wanted to.

Careful with coco if you don't have some exp under your belt but sounds like you have used it before.. The low humidity alone likely won't affect much maybe slightly slower growth but the problem comes in that it's alot easier to see other problems like nute burn, light burn, wind burn.. lol... The lower moisture content in the tissue of the plants due to the lower humidity has secondary affects but in perfect conditions for that low humidity grow you might not notice any of that.. Sorry of same principle as if you're dry and in low humidity sitting in the sun, you're more likely to crack and peel than if you're sitting in a lake under the sun on a windy day.

18 - 24 inches is good

keep a temp gauge with them down there

and increase venting if required

Do you have a temp? 30" should be ok and if you can dim it down I highly suggest it as they do not need anywhere near that much light. You do not want to burn them.
T5 is what you should be using, but this will work, but please dim if you can.
