6 Mother Plants.....Time to flower!

Ok so just received 6 Mother plants from my friend up in Humboldt and threw them under my 1000 watt hps to start flowering. Believe it or not I started growing in Hydro so this is my first soil grow and need as much advice as I can get. I'm waiting for my camera to charge so I can take some pics and get a diagnosis from everyone. While were waiting I'll list off the strains. In the batch there are two purple kush plants, one trainwreck, one trainwreck x trainwreck, one hashplant, and one ice. These plants have pretty much been through hell this past week so it is very surpising to me that they are even still alive. They made a 4 1/2 hour trip from humboldt in the back of a pickup truck then sat under a 600watt mh for a week in a garage before making another 2 1/2 hour trip up to their new home. The trainwreck plant is wilting and looking the worst but I am hoping that this is just from the shock of all the moves and it will come back. Many of the plants fan leaves have an almost rusty look on them and some of the other leaves have a powdery white substance that almost looks like thc on them so was hoping everyone could help me figure out what it is and help me get it off! Anyways I'm gonna start taking the pics and should have them up within the next few minutes.

Sounds good. Why not keep 1 or 2 mother plants in veg and keep taking clones? Whatever you do, good luck

to tell you the truth I didn't even really think about it but now that you mention it I might just pull out one of the trainwrecks for cloning...good idea stilltokin and thanks.

Should I be adding any nutes when watering these girls? I would like to spoil them as much as possible so lemme know if I should be throwing anything in the water. Oh and I sprayed some disease control on the plants earlier today to try and help with the powdery and rusty substances on the plant.

bump bump, whats that crap on the plants any think the trainwreck is drooping from movement shock?

I dont know what that is exactly, but I would say keep watering with only ph'ed water for a few weeks until they get healthy. So many people recommend pumping ure girls full of nutes even when their not doing so well. Trust me dont do it. The hashplant however would like some nutrients. Go to a hydro shop to pick up some good ones:-P
have fun

Suggestion:
If I were you I would take one clone from each of the mothers, then flower the mother. Think about that, you can have mother plants in about 45 days from those clones!

Question:
I have two female haze plants that I'm gona use as mother plants. The thing is I don't know how big of a grow tent to use. Could you tell me how big your mother plants are so I can get an Idea of what tent size I should use? I'm thinking about buying the: 4' X 2' X 5.5' but maybe I should be safe and get the 4' X 4' X 6.5. Please help me kiss-ass

Yea thats a good sugestion, I would just get the 4' X 2' X 5.5' tent, should be big enough for two mothers.

K got a little update for everyone. The trainwreck is looking MUCHHH better and should be back to regular health in about a day.
Went to the local hydroshop where they have always been good to me and picked up a few things today. For the nutes I decided to go with Earth Juice grow and bloom along with a little earth juice catalyst for the shocked plants. I also picked up a heat mat and dome with some dyna-gro root gel to begin cloning. I took cuttings from every plant just like you were thinking Irie and threw them in the dome under a 85 watt stealth hydro cfl. Wish I could throw up some pics but gotta wait till I get the camera from the friends girlfriend haha. As for the question about size Irie the biggest plant (trainwreck) is about 2 1/2 ft tall not including the 5 gal. bucket with the smallest plant (purple kush) at about 1 1/2 ft. Lemme know if there are any other questions or suggestions and I'll have those pics up a bit later tonight!

being the hydro guy that I am I dont really like the idea of always having to be there for watering so I'm working on getting an automatic drip feed system going on a timer....I'll keep you posted.

question, half a glass of water per plant per day too much for these plants?
na that sounds good, those things are huge im surprised they dont want more. Maybe you should try completely soaking your pots when you water so you dont have to water as often. Always wait till theyve almost completely dried out but im sure you know that

Stake up your tall plants with bamboo stakes and tie them with green tape.Earth Juice Bloom have zero nitrogen so add a small amount of grow in with it until the final stages then straight Bloom only to stop plant growth. Have fun

Thanks burnns, I'll be getting that bamoo and tape ties once those budds start getting big. You sound like you have some knowledge so please stick around.... always can use the help :-o. Will do with the grow and bloom, you think I should be adding anything else? optimal ph for watering is 7.2 in soil correct?

Plant Update:

Found the source of the Trainwreck x Trainwreck drooping. One of the top nodes had been broken half way off the plant in transportation which caused the plant to focus all its energy on that node forcing the rest of the plant to droop. Chopped off the broken node and the plant began coming back to strength within the day. Watered the plants today with earth juice grow and bloom and everything looked great before I put the ladies to bed. The clones seem to be going well but then again this still is my first time cloning. The heat inside the dome is around 84 degrees and the humidity stays around 95%....are these good temps and humidity for clones?
