New to this whole forum thing and looking to start my first grow. The plan is to use 2 week intervals, Every 2 weeks a new set of clones(6) is started and 1 plant at the end of its cycle is harvested. The best clone(1) will be put into veg. At all times throughout there should be 4 plants in flower 2 plants in veg and a set of clones. Clones will be taken from plants before they go into flower

Equipment: Flower Tent
•48"x48"x80" Apollo Horticulture grow tent
•600wHps Apollo Horticulture grow light
•Ventech 6" fan 8ft. of 6" ducting and clamps
• Ipower 6" carbon filter
•1 oscillating fan
Equipment: Veg closet
•4'x2'x4' area painted white
•4ft t5 220w grow light
•1 oscillating fan
•Homemade aeroponic 5gal bucket cloner

So the set up is as follows: Total 16 weeks
Clone time= 2 weeks
Veg time= 4 weeks
Flowering time= 8 weeks
Drying+Curing= 2 weeks

Week 1&2: Let clones root then transfer
Week 3&4: First 2 weeks of veg
Week 5&6: Last 2 weeks of veg then transfer
Week 7&8: First 2 weeks of flower
Week 9&10: Another 2 weeks of flower
Week 11&12: Another 2 weeks of flower
Week 13&14: Last 2 weeks flower then harvest
Week 15&16: Dry buds and start curing

My questions:
•Will this plan work?
•What's the best soil and basic nutrients i should be using?
• Solo Cup or 1 gal pot for veg?
•3 gal or 5 gal pots for flower?
•Any favorite strain for this type set up?

Looking forward to the replies, i'm a complete first timer just looking for some advice to avoid problems in the long run!

Your 8 week flower time Is short (unless 100% indica) most strains go 9-10 weeks imho. As far as pots doing a four week veg id go with the 3gallons.

As said above 8 weeks is an optimistic time frame. I run everything 10 regardless. With time, you can get a perpetual grow down, but if this is your first go at things or if you're even learning then something will always come up to screw up that plan. over the years I've definitely learned that stressing yourself out by trying to follow a strict plan, can be counterproductive. also a 4 x 2 is a pretty small area so pot size is going to depend on how many plants you want. you could probably get away with two flowering 5 gallons or 3-3 gallons in that space. as for your seedlings, I personally prefer to start them in solo cups, that way if they die or they don't come up I didn't waste a bunch of time filling pots. give them a couple weeks in the solos, then just transplant to whichever pot want to use. if you're really dead set on that flowering time then you're gonna have to look at strains that are highly Indica. As for soil, there are a lot of choices. Do you have a Hydro shop near you? I personally use Promix Ultimate Organic bag soil from Menards. It's comparable to FF Ocean Forest at 1/3 the cost unless you live out west and then there are better options for a better price point. When it comes to beginners and nutes I absolutely recommend getting a General Organics GO box. No PH'ing required and very user friendly. It's my go to over everything else I've tried, which is every brand lol. Hope that helps a bit! Good luck!

It should work fine, perpetual growing isn't too complicated. Use larger containers if you can fit them, it will give you larger plants.

I could recommend a few strains that are 8 weeks or less. I've been growing Starbud a lot lately myself.
