60 Day Lemon Auto-flowering

Hi guys, my first grow was a total disaster, so this time I need some professional opinion
before I start to my second one.
I just bought some DNA Genetics 60 Day Lemon Auto-flowering seeds. I chose this strain because according to it's website,
it flowers 60 days from seed.

My questions are;

1- What should be the light cycle? There are some mixed opinions on the internet. Some say I should start
directly from 12-12 light cycle from the beginning and others say I should leave the lights on 24 hours.

2- Should I use rooting sponge(rootIT) or can I directly put the
seeds into the pots(I'm using 4 litre pots)?

3- When should I start giving them nutrition(I'm using Biobizz Light Mix Soil and BioBloom nutrition)?

4- I have one 600W MH and one 600W HPS lamps. Do I need both, or only HPS is fine?

Thanks in advance

Hi, first off I'll say, just cos the breeder says 60days doesn't mean it will finish in 60 days (it may do) but probly more like 70to90 days tbh.

Light cycle should be at least 18/6 for autos. 12/12 isn't enough light to get them to produce their potential.

You can pre germinate your seeds I.e (paper towel method) then into your pots. Or you can use root it cubes then transplant into final pots.

I use bio bizz light mix too. I start feeding veg nutes from week 3 ish.

You can use your hps from the start if you want. But I think you'd benefit from using the mh until a week after the first sign of flowers. Then switch to hps.

Hope this helps you a bit. Good luck pal

Yep, I'd go with 18/6 as the default light cycle on any auto. I start my seeds off in a rock wool cube in a small disposable black plastic planter. Once it gets a couple inches tall I transplant into either a 3 gallon or 5 gallon smart pot. Don't wait until your roots circle either on the first transplant or it will stunt your plant. I think that's what I have going on now.....ugh

Thanks a lot mate. Is 1 gallon( 4 litres) pot too small? On my first grow, I used 5 gallon(20 litres) pots and it was taking more than a week to dry.
As far as I know most of the autos don't get too big, so I thought 1 gallon pot should be fine.

I already asked on top, but nobody answered. Is 1 gallon ( 4 litres ) pot too small for autos? I already have many of those 1 gal pots, so I don't want to spend more money on a pot.
