If you do soil... water until it drips out bottom....

go hydro or aero use a reservoir ... put on timers for watering.... and change reservoir every week or two weeks.

I am not a fan of soil and with a sog I'd be afraid because it would be easier for one plant to contaminate the batch in your configuration.

personally I'd go with a homebuilt aeroponic system... you can do those cheap

:) ok man, could u post me a building plan for a aeroponic system ?

Cuz i dont know anything about this, how it works.... what to do ?

really..... i am starting my career again soon, so i need something that does the job for me..... and brilliant.... I trusted soil, cuz i just trust it ^^

dunno why seems like it never let me down.....

but i will give aero a choice..... how many plants could i grow in sog ?

in such a small space that i have.... 60x60cm..... i will buying somin bigger for other projects.... :) but would like to have this 60x60 minimal setup go huge.... u know just do somin crazy ^^

The only problem with going hydro is the need to keep the res temps down. It is kind of hard in that small of a space. I used to grow in a 2'x2'x5' area with 400watts and 465cfm exhaust.

I only grew like 4-6 plants at a time, and usually ended up with like 6oz or so. When I upgraded my 2'x2' cab for a 2'x3' cab, I tried 12 smaller plants, and ended up with a smaller yeild by about an oz. I like to have one plant per sq ft. It seems to work out well.

I saw how others made chillers and modified it for my own purposes on the cheap.

here's the trick I came up with:

usb mini fridge for can of coke
copper tubing
pump

twist and house copper tubing in mini fridge
attach end to pump that is in water reservoir and other end in water reservoir

now water is chilled from usb mini fridge ( only costs $10)

I don't know if those are going to cool things down enough for you. Most people use the parts from the freezer of a dorm fridge. A freezer element is much colder than one for a fridge. Depending on how large your res is and how much cooling you need, I think you may want to rethink your idea.

bob it's not meant to be an end all be all solution to the problem, but I don't think it will hurt at all also. Like you stated it is possible to go to a thrift/pawn shop and get a fridge for $50.
