6th Official Party Cup Grow Competition!!!!!!

Ok so I know I posted a pic in the middle of the week, but that wasn't really a full update, so lets make make it official with
Update 5: 3/30/15
They seem to be loving being tied down, so today's update is shot from below to show a little bit of their undersides. However, on the plant who's stem I split through, it seems to be healing in two parts rather than closing the split, so we'll see how that affects it in the long run (Picture of this area can be seen in the enlarged photo). Also added a shot of the roots through the wall of the fools gold, no signs of root rot or algae yet, still no drainage holes on any of them.

We thought about our competition. Theres alot of bitching on this competition, lets see how everyone does with NO restrictions. Basically show us you can grow like a pro. Any strain.

I'm amazed that you keep returning and reminding everyone on here how much of a child you are about rules. I guess people really don't care what others on the web think of them, but you are a "well-known," member who has obviously spent some time on the boards...there are over 100 pages on this comp now, and more than 1000 views, and everyone who has viewed the last few pages has seen how difficult of a person you are in a friendly contest....we get it, you and @FrozenChozen have beef...now go away immature one

Just to be clear, that means you are dropping the provision only seeds and proof (of seed) requirements?

well-known is based on post count. Please ignore that, if you give respect to the title under a person's name you are a damn fool. I will walk away from the fight once I feel satisfied. FC admitting his mistakes and asking for everyone still in the comp for forgiveness would do it.

Sorry, but the mighty dictator can't be whatever form of asshole he desires and expect nothing but love. He has crossed too many lines and had lost any claim on respect. He has the ability to reclaim some however by admiting his mistakes and accepting the criticism of participants. Any attempt to suppress criticism = total loss of respect, but that is just immature me I guess.

He is basically a volunteer host dude...why in the HELL do you think he owes you anything? He has made decisions and done so when he has had the time. He has not only made decisions but he has consulted people outside of the comp who have no stake whatsoever. You have already left 15+ posts complaining....how many more do you need to make before you get your point across? I thought you would have figured it out before you got DQd for being so immature and not ready for a grow off amongst real growers.

Btw, I never said anything about respect, especially in regards to you. Post count logically means you have been on the boards awhile no? So you have been here long enough to understand how forums work and how funny it is to see little minded people act like....idk...like how you are right now? Embarrassing is the least of what I call that.

1. FC doesn't owe me anything. He owes you participants something.
2. How much time he has is irrelevant, his responsibilities are his responsibilities, complete them, delegate them or step down if you can't handle them
3. Yes, I've been on forums enough to know if you back down and walk away the other person just won.
4. embarrassing, lol, no not embarrassed at all, quite proud actually.

I did this, brought the pH down from 8, too 6... Hopefully not too rapid of a transition.

How come the pH was at 8? I'm having the same issue with two of my cups they're clawing too to much N I flushed with 5.8 pH water than added less N and more P&K but I'm in coco and perlite.

I've always liked the idea of this party cup competition. I plan on entering one soon. Seems like a lot of fun and the prizes are a huge bonus.

I think there should be an update only thread for the competition. Leaving a thread like this one for conversation. Being as these threads usually get hundreds of pages long in mostly conversation It would make it a lot easier to follow everyone's progress in my opinion. Update only thread would be very clean and easy to follow. Just a thought. What do you guys think?

I think I over applied the yucca extract, and I accidentally watered it with a rather concentrated application of potassium silicate last week that was intended for a larger pot. This is why you empty your watering can every time you're finished....

I'm used to hydro. If stuff get's too funky, dump and remix. Not used to working with soil

I concur. I'd like to see a solid page of update porn, rather than a few sprinkled here and there.

Yeah soil is a lot diff than hydro, I have a problem with over watering with soil at times I just pre mix my soil tho than repot into a bigger one for flower and throw in blooming soil admendments. Hydro is easy and they grow fast I love it.

Well I've been experimenting with no-till methods. No repoting, no veg/bloom mixes, just top dress and go. Aiming for quality over quantity. I just think the solo cup might be a wee bit small for that though.

Yeah that's a good way to do it too, I top dress if I need too, most of my grow is half soil half coco. Yeah the small cups are hard to grow in this is my first time doing it. It's been fun and I finally got my 3 to perk back up just waiting for my last to show some sex than I'll pick the one I want for the comp.
