its 1200 with a light meter tested by you?
1200 on center and in the corners?

Maybe the center canopy is, but if you see the plant leafs, mass, budsites are far more away from it.

How far away are they from the plants?

It really looks like that just the light can't handle these big plants, What do YOU think about it, compared to your old HPS grows?

They are about 24 inches away. So i had 1week when the ppm was after 3 water changes they started to eat so it was kind of stress i guess. I never did with hps

looks as if it needs more intense light/more coverage. (Rookie opinion)

Good luck with it. I hope they bounce back/or maybe you have a longer flower cycle on ur hands than presumed by the strain.

To my eyes, the areas with red, looks like they getting much less light that the top area.

At your other photo, that shows inside the 'screen area', looks good/as expected/on par with other good LED grows that i seen.
But compared to HPS to my eyes its lacking behind alot. For example you can see no real big colas forming , just smaller stretchier ones, that won't ''fill up'' to create a big one.

Bottom line again, i believe the lights can't handle these big plants.

What are your thoughts? Too bad you can't compare it with ''older'' hps grows...

Personally im a bit disappointed with my HLGs compared to my hps,

I also think , (we both) made a bit mistake here, on growing style with the LEDs, definitely have some room for improvement -at least my grows- that was like that, big plants and SCROGed tight, the lights couldn't handle it, low penetration also compared to hps.

Oh i absolutely agree with u , side are about 34 inches away and not getting enough light but tallest one is 18 inches away. I dont know why i went with gavita there are other good choises its just gavita have uniformity that hlg dont have but i will upgrade to roi someday the new one is beast. I am trying to keep temp 80+ to get leaf temp closer to hps but its still not same.

think that the sides the TOPs are lets say 34 inch away, imagine the lower bud after TOP how much more far and how much light it gets


TBH the gavita looks Awesome light, i dont think you did any 'mistake' by choosing it

I agree about them being way too far. Youre probably only getting 1200umol in the middle and the sides maybe 7-800.

Bring it closer.... like 18 inches away from the canopy. I got similar LED bar lights Im trying out vs my DE HPS. Im ~15in away with the LEDs.

You got any pics of your HPS grows vs this LED grow one....same strain though. I want to see what the difference is.

i wouldn't over do it at week 6-7, what is done is done, i mean the plants looks just too big.

maybe best bet to do also what HydroKid239 said

Again, bottom line i think the yield will be fine for a LED, just smaller buds maybe

Keep us updated about your opinion on the gavita!

So looks like with gavita leds u can go up to 110% , i just raised it to 105% and no negative effect ill keep going up to see how they react
