8 Ball Kush Grow

Hey as in my previous posts I have the superlocker 2.0 arriving next week. The space is small somthing like 15'' x 24" x 4.5 feet tall. I decided to go with 8 ball kush to start because of the shorter 55-60 day flowering time. Based on how this plant grows how many plants of the 8 ball should I start in the small locker ??

Also I heard the 8 ball kush doesn't like much nutes at all compared to most plants ??
honestly dude i havent done the 8ball before, i was doing some research and there suppose to be pretty large, i have 4 plants in a 2 feet wide 5 feet tall 2 feet deep tent. they should be ok, i havent been giving them nutes before but they were going slow so i started feeding them a pretty watered down feeding and they responded great, fed them a couple days straight now and the have grow much more then without!

So i think im in need of some help here guys!! much is appreciated. these little guys are 12 days into veg, i started giving them nutes two days ago and have responded well, im not sure if im feeding them to little or to much, when i started feeding growth picked up quite a bit. but they are small for 12 days in my blue hash plant at 17 days was probably about 7 times bigger then these 8ball kush plants are at 12 days in. i have been feeding them 250ml a day, mixing a 4 litre pale with 1/4 teaspoon of Dyno-Gro liquid 7-9-5 and 0.3 grams of piranha per litre of water each plant gets 250ml of the mix of piranha aswell. my MH light seems to be wierd to when it turns on sometimes the 400W is brighter then it dims down and stays there, maybe its not being as bright as possible? i was thinking of getting some CFL bulbs to put inbetween the pots maybe or something for some more light but not much more heat. i lowered the light todayy even more to see if that will help. here are some pictures

And here is my blue hash plant when it was at day 17 its substantially bigger then these, there is no way they will be this big when there at day 17IMG_20120406_141420.jpg

honestly moshi they look really healthy and happy to me. keep up the good work. some strains are really fast and some strains are really slow at the start. i have found in the past though (for me at least) that the first 7 days they grow there first set of leaves the next 7 days they grow there second set of leaves then after that thy seem to go mental. they do look a touch small but it may just be the strain or perhaps the pots are a little big and they are staying wet down deeper in the pots so the roots arent developing as quickly as they could. the blue hash plant looks like it was one of those very fast plants. very good.

your mh sounds like its fine most lights change spectrum a bit when they firs up. thats actually the time i try and snap pics under my hps because they start off nice and white and gradually get more and more yellow. i wouldnt bother with the cfl

what are your temps like. cold weather will slow them down a lot. was the hash plant in summer and these are in winter?

either way from what i could see in the pics they look good well done so far and just stick with them dont panic and start changing everything.

wicked! thats real re-assuring to hear. thanks man. ill give them some more time to see if they start growing rapid or not. the blue hash plant has been sitting around 24c for its temp, keeping it lower to try to bring out the colour in the plant, my 8 ball plants have been between 28-32 the whole time.

28-32 is too hot in my Novice Opinion.
In my few grows (2 with great success) i have found the sweet spot to be 24-27 and no higher. Some strains love it, others not so much. And whats the humidity?

Best of luck!

that would explain my blue hash growing real good and its between 24-28. ill maybe try dropping the temp a bit, but it drops at night right now still, drops to about 12-16. the humidity is all over the place from 16%-85% having troubles regulating that right now

So were officially 14 days in now, 2 weeks, and in the last few days they have been doing fantastic! really starting to come along now, im thinking this 3rd week will be a big week for them, havent changed anything since the last post, still watering and feeding the same. today i probably seen the most growth in 12 hours the two big ones pumped out a couple sets of leaves. here are some pics, its night time and i had to feed them late so there a little droopy but all will be well in 5 hours :)

Hey dude thats looking real nice, good work my friend! how long did you veg that for? i have a feeling the 8ball kush is a slow grower and a small plant to, judging on yours and how mine are growing, havent seen many big guys that forsure! what else are the details for that plant? what light and nutes and stuff you got going, its nice to talk to someone growing the same strain lol, happy growing!

I started it from seed 50 days ago, and it has been in the flower tent for a week now. It doubled in size this last week since moved to 12/12 and under a 200watt CFL 2700k and I suppliment that with 14, 100watt CFL 2700k and 2, 100watt at 6500k. I'm growing it in DWC with Fox Farm nutes (grow big, big bloom, tiger bloom) also using open sesame, beastie bloom and cha ching. I am also using Bushdoctor kangaroots, microbrew and sledgehammer.

I have also started a CO2 generator in the tent and it seems to have helped in keeping these babies dark green. I made the generator from a gatoraide bottle half full water two table spoons of sugar and one packet of yeast.

I thought about LST or super cropping on it but just decided to top it and let it go, but I broke down and topped it again last monday just before she popped out her first pistils and since then she has gone nuts. Babies Two M 006.jpg Here is this mornings shot of her.

Happy Growing!

It took forever to flower (70 + days compared to the 55 day advertised time and it still wasn't done). Also fluffy buds, not real resinous or real powerful.
ive been dealing with Pineapple chunk for over a year, if you dont know what your doing it will come out like that, whenever i do it, i get nuggets so hard they make some kush look fluffy and it strait stinks like Lemon Kerosine. people are always hating jus cuz they cant perform with that strain correctly

what was your feeding rotation like? and such? when did you start feeding it? it really blew up since the last pic wow! awesome work, its a short plant eh, toppping was def a good call, made her bush out nicely. 50 days is a long veg i didnt want to do that long, hopefully they grow bigger before then, wicked to hear it doubled in size first week of flower i was hoping they would do that. this strain is a little on the odd side, whats the smell on the plant like?

It's hard to say what that plant smells like with all the other strains in there as well they really haven't started to stink at all, which I'm surprized at. I do know one of them has some skunk in them. I followed the nute schedual for Fox Farm Hydroponics, change out the water once a week, I'm using regular tap water as I know the calcium and magnesium levels. Everyone is concerned about the chlorine levels but I know how fast it disipates when I get the bubbler going, the nice part is they put LAS (Liquid Ammonium Sulfate) in the water here to make a total chlorine. I reap the bennifits from that as well.

From germination to the bucket I didn't give any nutes, I started to feed nutes at 1/4 strength when I put them in the bucket. By the third week I was at full strength. It handles them well as I over fed nitrogen and it didn't skip a beat.

ya the 8ball is suppose to be pretty forgiving when it comes to nutes and heat so thats awesome. but sweet man thanks eh! looks like i got everything going swell, there just slow little guys. 50 days is a long veg and im really hoping i dont need to for that long
