Alan Krueger did the work, and it is generally accepted that the minimum wage has very little if any effect on employment
 
Well if we returned to the gold standard and had a free market and sound money then it wouldn't be a big deal but untill then it doesn't matter anyway because there is state laws on minimum wage.

Why be required to pay them at all? You could have 100's of workers working your fields for free!

How does one justify their disdain for American workers? Boy has Corporate America fooled a bunch of folks.

There is FEDERAL LAWS for min.wage ...some states just decided to pay even more because of cost of living
 
I have to remind my step son of that whole "Pursuit of Happiness" thing from time to time. I don't hear that part of the phase very often from the RP folks.

Just a suggestion.

Property rights over riding Civil rights---His idea would give me the right to refuse service to others simple because I'm the owner of a store..Hey white man get out my store..no reason just because its my property and I don't like white long haired people..( just an example)

Min wage---He feels we can do away with min wage...Hey workers Ron Paul now says we have no min wage...I now pay you 5.75 an hour ..screw what I paid you before...oh and all white workers you fired and get off my property...Property rights

Yup very dangerous ideas when used by the wrong person
 
Pursuit of happiness is not found at WALMART FOR 5$ AN HOUR ...It is not from becoming a corporate sellout...its from freedom and liberty...the right to refuse others eh? How about everyone having their own business vs instead of walmart and 'bestbuy',,,,we would need the right to refuse others in a free society...you can not sacrifice liberty and have freedom.

No but it is found in the Declaration of Independence........right after the words, "Liberty and........."

Minimum wage doesn't pay the bills, I could of told you that, this is modern day slavery. You guys seem to be under the impression that minimum wage pays the bills?

and if you take away the Federal law every state could then lower it to what ever they want...could you imagine what the good ole south would do...your argument on this is just as weak as Ron Pauls idea

Anyway beside the point..Ron Paul wouldn't get rid of the minimum wage before getting rid of the irs, a return to the gold standard, and a true free market, so I don't see him eliminating the federal minimum wage cause how could he get that far in only 4 or 8 years. Getting rid of the minimum wage right now sure that is dangerous but I am pretty sure Ron Paul is not going to cause a crisis, pretty sure we can trust him....he has had our back for 30 years..and he did predict the financial crisis....but no hes just crazy uncle Ron? always talking about how hes going to fix things what a loon, change it back to the disney channel ok...

now its "anyway beside the point" ...so now you want to ignore the points....dude you need to think of what actions the man ideas would cause...I realize you only hear words like Freedom and Liberty..but you must think of the outcome...I go by a mans words and his actions...Ron Paul words(ideas) are crazy when put into action....you continue fighting the losing fight for Ron Paul... I will continue to say HELL NO
