911 SICK PLANTS/ FIRST TIME GROWER/HELP!!

Please help Me! !

So i believe i made a very bad Beginners mistake.

I have 13 plants- Very first grow ever. Purchased 5 Feminized “ICE” seeds, received 10 free from Nirvana. 2 never germinated. and the rest were doing great until recently!

So i just purchased Nutrients from Fox Farm. 3 different bottles. The directions I may have misread. Its a funky looking Chart hard to read, so anyways dude at the grow store told me to take the measurements and cut them in half/ so where they call for 3 TSP, i only used 1.5 But i fed them on 6/20 with nutrients, i didn’t test the PH balances and then i turned around and fed them on 6/22 with Nutrients again. So i was reading Nutes instructions it says only feed them twice a week. So i would image not supposed to feed them within 2 days with nutes right?? Anyways, hope these pictures help you all. Now i posted multiple threads within the past 2 weeks about a couple of my plants leaves having small yellow spots, and looked to be a little wilting going on. We ruled out Mites, and other pests. But now it seems more of the plants leaves are getting the same way. I’ve inspected each leaf very closely, no bugs. I also purchased this “DR DOOM” Nautral Bug spray- Google it, and I also made a Nutrient solution and sprayed my plants leaves at night. I thought that may have been the reason, but to be honest. ALL 5 of my FEMS nothing is wrong with them?? STRANGE!!!!

Heres the remaining pictures that i’ve taken today! Now please know that My plants have been looking beautiful. Im going to give you as much information so you can help me. So about a week ago a couple of the leaves started getting little yellow spots, and looking a bit wilted. My grow room gets pretty hot, but not that hot, hottest is 85 degrees.

So I thought maybe burn or heat of some kind, then i thought MITES or Pests. So i purchase DR DOOM’s Pest spray spricifically for plants. I searched my plants up and down and didn’t see any tiny specs or pests.

So up until today i’ve had about 3 miniture fans blowing directly on my plants, so much so they were blowing in the breeze, i thought this would be good for them; I was told different today.

In addition I sprayed my leaves with the nutrient solution at night just after lights out, See before i sprayed them during the day, not knowing that the water was being magnified and possibly burning the leaves because they were still under the lights. SO i stopped that and did it just after lights out.

These are all the different event that have happened hopefully someone will know something.

Ive never checked the PH before feeding them, i am doing that right now though first time

So i was really trippin about my babies, so i figured if i tested the PH of the same nutrients that i used the other day , this would tell me if something was off or wrong with what i fed them.... it came back neutral. IS that ok? Does that mean its not the nutes I’m giving them? Process of elimination.

Well, if you feed them twice in a few days, that's probably your culprit. Also, some growing medium have food already, so that might have compounded the problem (though, admittedly, I didn't read the entire thread very closely, so I might have missed your mentioning your medium.

Either way, nothing looked too bad, so you'll probably be fine. I'd suggest plain water for the next watering or two, though, still.

Cheers!

I have gotten soooo much bad advice from ppl...even tards at the grow stores.Must do research ;) do you have a microscope to look at your plants with? Thats a must have, some mites are only seen at 30x magnification or greater. Broad mites are the size of a flies foot. Looks to me you have a small case of them...why do I think that? The mozaic leaf and the weird new leaves that are growing wonky. But you got doc dooms or whatever so they should be fine after a couple applications. I use ff products, best product in my opinion. I studied so many organic of more expensive nutrient lines and ff has the same things in their products just cheaper! Get yourself the whole line (microbe brew, kangaroots and comeback formula) I dont use any nutrient foliar sprays because I dont want the buildup. Do exactly what the FF feeding schedule tells you to do, not the the guy at the grow store. Get the trio pack of soluables when youre ready to flower. One should always have a few different types of bug sprays on hand. The bugs get immuned to same spray after awhile. Sometimes you will get little patches of either a ph/nutrient imbalance threw out your plants life, Its perfectly fine. One little spot on a leaf or two doesnt mean its doomed.

imo.the burn is from the spray ..dont spray your plants when the lights are off..the somata on the leafs close...stomata=lungs ..so they cant absorb anything...if your leafs are wet when the lights come on ..the heat rom your light is scoring your plants.just my thought.

Hey Thanks a bunch Jus: Do you always check the PH of your water? Adjusting up or down when needed?

Thanks for responding, But dosent the “organic” substance evap prior to lights on. Its getting six ours for that very fine mist to absorb or @least linger;

Your new growth looks fine !
pH the mixed nutes or plain water to 6.5 and forget pHing soil!
Run a "zyme" product.

def nute burn, back off of the nutes, get your self some distilled water and water once a week or as needed with just water and superthrive..then after two waterings give them half of what you've been giving. get a ph pen and a ppm pen of ebay for 10 bucks a piece...youll be amazed at how important they are.

Hey Mahlon.if your growing in soil forget about ph..don't be messing with it..there's very strong buffers added to good soils like..fox farms..bio biz..plagron.ect..and you don't feed for 5/6 weeks ..then you can feed the soil..stop spraying your plants when lights are off it's doing nothing for them mate.happy growing

So i don’t even low what Prenuts are , now when you say “Feeding” are you referring to nutrients or just plain water, because prior to 6/20 i had never given them anything other than water; and this started before i even gave them nutrients.

Nope. I haven't checked pH in ages, actually. I add a bit of dolomitic lime to my soil before planting, but otherwise, I just let the beneficial microbes do their thing to keep it in check. Of course, we have pretty good water here too, which I still let sit out for at least 24 hours for the chlorine to evaporate out before using.

Cheers!

Thanks bro; See this is why this is all so confusing because everyone has something different to say about the way they do their grows; I pruhcased the entire Fox Farm Nutrients line. And it cam with a feeding chart that specifically says to add Grow Big Plant food, and Big Bloom to their feeding 1st day all the way up to the 12 day and through flowering.
