a big boom

so I work on towers, and today heard a big boom from far off. I come to find out it was a cannon over 200 miles away. it was pretty cool, sounded like a explosion of thunder, and i was 100' up tower and the sound was great.

That's intense. This April I heard a great thunderous boom, and it turned out to be a fireball.

I've got 4 mini size cannons that I load with black powder, and shoot 1/2" steel shot every new year and July 4th, they bring the neighbors out.
