A Buddy Was Pitching An Idea To Me

I need feedback before I agree to it.

He wants me to do a set up at my new home, under his and his wife's caregiver status. (I aquire they're rights to grow, on top of my wife's and my own). However, he wants it to be done in a certain way.

Estimate a 15x30 room. He wants to grow Hash Plants (43-56 flowering days) in a SoG type style. He wants to add 3 1000w lights to the set up that were made to fill a room with full 360 degree of light. He wants the room covered in mylar before we build shelves.

He calls this idea, the octegon. He says it requires 95 plants vegged to 12-15 inches, 18 max. Add shelves all over the room in octegonal shape, leaving only one side of the octegon for you to enter.

The clones are to be harvested and dried within 2 1/2 months. Fans, Co2, carbonfilter, all of this is factored in.

The plants are to be stored in no more than 1 gallon buckets.

He estimates a yield of 1 oz per plant, for a total of around 6.5 lbs (split between the 4 of us)

My question to RIU:

Does this set up sound likely? Should I add more lights to guarantee no stretching? I've not done a SoG set up before, especially one of this magnatude. To pull it off, what could I do to make it work?

No. If you have a rectangular room, then build it in a rectangular configuration.

Is your friend an experienced grower? How much of a contribution will he be making? Are you sure that their caregiver status will transfer to your property? Did you get that information from them, or a governing body? Are you an experienced grower? Plus, who gives a crap what we think? This is your life. Its your property. If we all say kill your friend and kidnap his wife would you? Even if everyone said to do it?

Ok so your talking 450 square feet with roughly 450,000 lumens right?? That's only 1k lumens per square foot. you would need a lot more light to fill a 15x30 room.
