a/c question

So what exactly did you get so I can get it? I'm looking in my notes because I thought you spec'd it out somewhere already.

So I built the rooms I was talking about. along about a 32 foot basement wall I have 3 rooms in a row, roughly 10x10.
Due to shitty small basement windows, shit is limited.
I want this in my far left room. 4 Raptor hood, no ventilation, no glass in hoods, 1000w hortilux, w/ lumatek ballasts.
2 wall fans. No ventalation for the room yet, was going to hit up for advice after ac is in.
Walls are framed, outside walls insulated. I put plastic on walls, then drywalled with mold-resistant shit.
This is a 24,000 btu unit for a 10x10x7 w/4k in lights. It will be sealed w/co2.

also this for it running in Upper Peninsula temps. Install dude says it will help, but it won;t fit inside the unit.
It would need to go into an external box like power box that mounts to house.

No idea. Serious business, this fucker is big! I can knock a wall out and have 8k going in a 20x10 room. I don't think it is nearly big enough.
I want my temps to be perfect in -20 weather, and in 95 degree weather. I do not want to worry about shit.
I don't want to be funneling cold air for certain months, and re-routing shit, cuz it is frustrating, I forget, my plants suffer.
I wasn't worried about having 2 units, till I saw one back there. What the fuck I tell a UPS guy, I butcher cattle for hobby. Half the house is walk-in freezer.
Work at home kit I bought online. Don't mind the dogs, they love it.

Why not buy a 5 ton unit for your basement? If you run your 12/12 cycle at night your UPS guy should be sleeping lol. My $.02! Good luck Glad.

I see some units are cool-only, no heat. Given that the units that also heat cost more, why look at them? Sorry for a lame question.

Ah. Right. If you're not in a basement under a heated house, I can see that. Thanks. I knew it was something obvious.

The ac I got was recommended by another member earlier in the thread. A few other members have bought the same one. I like the fact that it heats, but one without the heater should work for most people.

Why not just get a used central air conditioner, you can get a 48,000 btu one pretty decent even used they aren't too bad plus they normally run less energy and cool a lot more.

Why get raptor hoods and then take the glass out? It makes no sense the entire point of the hood is the feature to cool it down, If you could get them all hooked together and get a fan to push the heat outside you will drop the room temp a good 10-20 degrees in the long run you will save money because you might not even need cooling, or you can save from getting a large unit and not needing it.. I was running 3,200 watt's only 2 were being vented one raptor hood along with cool tube, I was using a 12,000 a/c unit and it was getting too cold in the room, I got a floor a/c 10,000 and it was perfect I could keep my room at 68 degrees no problem, so if you can you should look into venting.

actually using good ac hoods without the glass is better than parabolics or open bulbs. better light spread. i found out the hard way and it cost me thousands over a 4 month period in yield. finally back to where i was this harvest.

Interesting. I'm not venting the hoods in my new room. I'll have to look into hoods / reflectors

I will have a room of both. Air cooled and non. W glass and without. There is a reason why.
I worked on install of mini split all day. I had 2 Packer fans helping me install it. And 3 trips to fucking Menards. Long story short everyone is gone and I'm gonna sit here with belle and get fucked up for a little while. I'll post everything later tonight or early in the am.
