A DWC Question?

If you increase the amount of oxygen in the water, meaning more airstones. Would the plant be able to tolerate higher levels of heat in the res(eg 26 to 30C)??

Yes. Atleast Ive heard Lucas say that before but not that high. I think up to 75 or 76 degrees would be the most. But there's only one way to find out.... Try it. I'm at about 75 degrees and there is been no sign of rot.

How many airstones are you running an what is your air pump rated at? And resevoir size??
I was just curious. If you increase oxygen to the point where you have say 3 airstones with the normal fish tank airpump on each in a 20L bucket. Could the plant tolerate temps up to say 26 to to 28c

That's pretty warm and will prolly slow growth. In addition warmer solutions can cause root rot and other very bad things to happen to your plants. I run 6 airstones from a 950 gph pump in my little 6 gal DWC. Water temps should idealy be in the mid to high 60's. Put a fan on the tank or frozen water bottles inside...luck.

It floods the hydroton every couple hours and for a certain amount of time then the water is sucked back into the reservior. There are a couple how to's somewhere on here. The hardest and most expensive part is the controller bucket which has relays and pumps.
