A Guide To Colloidal Silver

That's what I'm doing, producing thousands. I've also pollinated small areas but it's just to finicky for me when I need a higher production rate. To mine the DNA of any of the current plants and find keepers takes running about 100 seeds.

I only grow indoor and I work toward pain relief strains. I hope you get the mold resistance you are looking for. I assume you mean botrytis?

I have many that got away LOL!
Yup, good outdoor botrytis resistance in a potent nice smelling late September outdoor plant is the holy grail I'm seeking.

Been thinking of ordering some seeds from Beanhoarder to recreate the "one that got away" . Had a Jack Herer x PCK that I crossed with an Iranian years ago that was exemplary in every way. I could literally feel the energy of the plant when I'd visit it in the bush years ago...(okay maybe it was the joint I smoked on the trek in)

Tried popping seeds from the same batch, over several years and got close, but due to the genetic variation within the Jack Herer (?) about 8 out of 10 were not even a close pheno. Those seeds are gone now, but I think Hemp Depot still has one half of the cross in a freezer and I've got Iranian seeds kicking around somewhere.... Got lucky once....maybe again.

If you pop a hundred seeds from the same pollination, about how many pheno types would you expect to see and do the ones that look alike smell, taste and behave alike ?

Thank you! There are a lot of pages in this thread now, so some people miss the first posts. Haha!

Good luck, and keep us posted!
Ok so this is the plant or should I say test subject lol I decided to trash it (well just put it outside), cause it is super stressed, I want healthy and no room now lol but I know it will work at least. I was using a bad batch of silver. I have a Blue Dream I have been spraying for 5 or 6 days and zero stress, it's thriving! I'll upload a pic shortly 20190912_182334.jpg

Looks good! That should definitely work. Remember, since it is pure CS and doesn't contain chemicals that will burn the plant (if you made it correctly), you should be able to spray the entire plant, to get it loaded with silver particles as quickly as possible. I'd hit it with a complete spray at least two times a day.
Here's the Blue Dream. I have been spraying it 2-3 times a day for 5 days, just put it in the flower room. Zero stress 20190912_191032.jpg

I trashed this plant this morning. I don't want to get pollen on myself and accidentally carry it into my room.
Note.... always have a backup clone lol
Were you able to collect pollen off this plant?
I will be taking clones from my plants soon too.

I could have but I want pollen from a healthy unstressed plant, so I trashed it so I don't accidentally pollinate my room with it. This was my first attempt and the silver I made was way overcooked, it burnt the plant right away. My 2nd attempt is perfect. Been spraying it for 6 days now with a good colliodal silver solution and it is thriving. I would prefer healthy, chemical induced pollen, not from over stressing.
Note... always have a back up clone.

What's the progress on your plant? @kev1968

I started CS spraying on 28th of August, and put the plant in 12/12 since 4th September.
My Neville's Haze hasn't produced pollen sacks yet, but I don't have pistils growing either.

Hey how's it going. Lol, I was actually waiting till I have full sacs formed, but the Blue is coming along nicely. I will get a pic shortly.
I started spraying Sept 7 and put it under 12/12 Sept 12.

This is the plant that I have been spraying since 28th of August. I don't know why I don't see any pollen sacks yet. I have been spraying them daily with colloidal silver. The plant hasn't been stressed either.
Am I maybe a bit too impatient?

8 days in flower, a little stressed, but it may have been damp still when I put it back in the light. Overall in good health and tons of sacs starting. I'll post when they are pronounced more.

Would reverse osmosis water do instead of distilled? It has a ppm of 0.
I'm actually not sure about this one. I have read both yes and no, but have never tried it myself, so I don't want to make any claims. If you decide to try it, I would avoid using it for anything other than "flipping" Cannabis plants (don't drink it), and I would be prepared to make it again with distilled, in case it doesn't work.

Update: still no balls forming. I do see some very small pistils starting to grow. Seems I have been doing something wrong again :(
Could it be that my plant is invulnerable against CS?

Well big changes happening on the Blue Dream, pollen sacs EVERYWHERE! I just put a White Widow x Big bud and a Blue Dream clone in the flower room for the 1st recipients for seeds, but I expect to be harvesting allot of pollen :)
So the White Widow x Big bud crossed with Blue Dream would be an F2 hybrid correct?

I highly doubt that your plant is unaffected by CS, given the mechanism by which it works. What are your production and application techniques like?
