Hello, I would appreciate some help. I am Growing two pineapple Express and it's been flowering for 4 weeks on a small scrog , Buds started growing very nice and tall , strong then this last week they seemed to stop and grow stems out the the sides on the main stems with buds starting on them. Some of the top leaves on buds are curling to left or right and bit deformed ..strange. I never seen this before and both plants are doing this at the same time. I have been cloning this for about 18 months and it seems each grow is having odd growth quirks. I have no known light issues timer is fine but one day power went out for 6 hours. Temp is constant 78 but my humidity is low 50ish and struggle to keep it. Any idea what happened? I had two good grows now fighting problems ( some due to the dumbass operator) since then. Growing in fox farms.

Lack of air circulation, not enough cfm for the plant density. Appears heat stressed but your temps sound reasonable, its how I concluded what I did.

Add another tall fan, oscillating if possible.

double check timer so you know that it doesnt come on in the middle of the dark period.

My first impression is too much nitrogen and or a weak light source.

Too hot of a soil .........flush renute with lower ppms add microbes back in.

Pics of the whole grow might help

leaf hook could be a sign of low calcium

What ppm you feed at

Looks like re-veg to me, must be a wicked light leak or timer problem.
That was my first thought because my last grow the timer got bumped and pushed in the pins and the light came on in the middle of the night for a week before I noticed ( I work a lot of shift work ) and it revegged and stretched..But I don't believe that happened this time and doubt it's a light leak.

Hate to admit but I don't check ppm, I guess I should get a ppm meter....but check ph Everytime I water. I have them in 7 gallon fiber pots in a container with a paving stone under pot . I put about an inch of water in the container and over 2 days it sucks it up. Is this a dumb idea? It's worked in the past . Sorry , I'm am still learning how to do this and work rotating shifts and I'm busy as hell.

Well ..thanks for everyone's time and advice. These two plants were doing so good 2 weeks ago ,the more I think about it it sure looks like it's trying to reveg Why? I have no idea. I doubled and triple checked everything. I just don't know what happened , I'm so close to throwing in the towel, two months down the drain ..again

If it really isn't a light leak then the genetics are just wacky. I have tons of minor light leaks all the time that never cause a problem. I wasn't overly impressed with the pineapple express that I tried. Oh well.

I have been cloning this for over a year ( only thing I have plus I like sativa ) did grow strawberry cough that was my best grow so far. I just don't get what happened ...I dare say this grow was looking like the best I've grown so far up until week 4 flowering ...then turned to this?

Well if you are positive that it is not from an outside source, and "re-veg" is a near conclusion, why not introduce a little more darkness. Your yields will be nothing to write home about, but I have had a few plants stubborn to death with more than 11h of light (11/13). Just trying to save you from 2 wasted months.

Right now...I'm not positive about anything anymore ( lol) but I'm willing to try . Thanks for the idea ! Maybe go 11-13 for a few weeks then 12- 12 after that? It's strange it seems like only the tops were affected , so it really seems like some kinda light issues. I did use a new timer this grow. It seemed to do fine but I switched it after this problem. I like the mechanical timers instead of digital timers.

I use an amazon smart plug these days. You can create "routines, and its either powered or not, plus you can use Alexa app to monitor on/off status. As for the schedule, the plants that I needed 11/13 for I stayed with because of the oft times irrational fear of hermie(ing). I mean the extra hour would have been nice, but I don't think it was too bad. It was a deeply inbred feminized bagseed that took a good while to create. It was a solid player, but the unpredictable flowering that led me to always give more darkness, ultimately led to the end of that genetic line.

What light are you using ?

The paving stone I dont know what that is but leaving your pots sit in water and suck up the swill run off isnt a good idea, and it has run off nutes in it and it is hot. best to shop vac this run off out of the tray each time

You used fabric pots so you probably have to water more often so you cant cheat and leave swill in the bottom deal with it.

I still think it might be too much nitrogen for these gentics and a weak light

flush renute add back some microbes

Basically when you know your doing everything right and there is no reason for an issue to be happening it might just be shit genetics. I dont think your there yet or I dont know because I dont know waht you fed it at how much....so....flush renute add back microbes ........wait.

Right .........I have my door cracked open all the time never had issues that would indicate it was from a light leak. I think its possible to have issues if your lights come on in the middle of darkness ...obviously ..derp.. but a small light leak that isnt anything doesnt do anything..... to my plants at least.

The paving stone is 1ft by 1ft by 2 inch high.( Just a regular paving stepping stone) It just keeps the pot out the water but I see what you mean about soaking the swill back up .but none of my leaves have burnt ends that is what I have looked for you see if I'm giving to many nutes ....my best grow was in a different pot , not a fabic pots. Mmmmmm I might have to change some stuff when I get off work today.. thanks again! Much appreciated for all advice. I haven't bought any smoke in 2 years ...I don't want to go back to that headache. Just have figure out THIS headache...lol
