ok well me and a buddy of mine where talking and he says he tops his buds and i never heard of this he swears it makes them fatter. but idk i think its bs so thats it what do you guys think

I'm trying that with my current grow. accidentaly broke them while LSTing. 2 times..
So, I now have bushes rather than plants. SHould have 4 big colas though plus light gets to the middle of the plant better. So should be a win from what I've picked up on here.

I've heard of this technique but not something I would ever try or suggest. Every time you do damage to any part of your plant it slows the growth in that area for a day or 2.
If the plant has good genetics it will produce quality buds on it's own. Just use good nutes and keep the light as close as possible.

I didnt do it on purpose.. It was accidental. I was trying to "supercrop" I think is the temp.. Where you bend the plant over until it sort of snaps the interior fibers. I didnt squeeze them so they just snapped off. Dumby.. I know..
They are auto's the ones I'm talking about. Are they toast now? didnt know you couldnt top autos.

from what i read on the subject u can top but it will decrease ur yield, ur better off not topping an auto, thats why i decided to try LST to see if it would increase the yield even just a little as i lost my WW cause it was a boy

ok i called bs when he said that yeah i topped one of my ag plants and it grew 4 main colas

are your sure your friend doesent mean before they bud he tops them,if so then alot of people do this method ,but ive never seen anyone topping after they bud.

no full on buds he does it before and when he has nice colas he pinches off the top of em
