Hello to all...and thanks again for this great website. Here is my Q...a 440w or a 600w mh/hp light set up in a 5x5x7 tall grow box, this is built in side of a 12x12 outside shed/barn. What are the chances of a heat signature big enough to get in a jam? This being with all ventalation being vented out side the barn..with freash air and fan coolers on the light itself...whats your thoughts..Mine are, I personally dont think there is any chance of it happening...my girl is a little worried. I think your energy bill would be a problem on larger set ups...and one last q..on a 600w lamp, how many watts would it use per month...Price...? $25-$40 each month...that shouldnt cause a problem..Thanks everyone and I cant wait to hear what ya gotta say.

haha yes all wife's are the same m8 dont worry mines the same as your proper paranoid , ive only got 1 600 and she goes on like im powering some nucular laboratory lol, ive got a electric heater that uses 2000 watts that she has no problems with lol, my advise is don't tell her to much and she will soon forget its even there. anything she asks just play down, good luck.

I think a 600w is too small for a 5x5. I feel my 600w is too small for my 4x4. I would go with a 1000w if you can handle the heat.
