A question of security

When you register you must agree "By clicking the agree button you confirm that you do not work or are associated with any government agency, and information obtained through this site will be inadmissible in a court of law."

So, not really.

Sorry, but that statement means NOTHING! Just to help clear things up... you know that statement that always gets passed around about "ask a cop if he is a cop. If he says NO then he can't bust you". That is nothing but Urban Legend! FACT! A cop can lie all he wants! It doesn't mean that he lied to you so he can't bust you. This came from the police department ( I used to work in security and had to work with the police quite a bit ). This was also confirmed by 2 seperate attorneys and 1 judge.

In addition just because a cop agrees that he is not a cop and that anything that he finds or reads will not be admissable in court does not make it inadmissable. ONLY the judge declares what is admissable and inadmissable, not what some cop or DEA agent says or does.

Peace

I have heard tell of people reformatting their hard drives every six months or so, not only does this get rid of all incriminating evidence, but it's supposedly good for cleaning up all kinds of crap that builds up from everyday use of my computer

On the downside it's time consuming prepare to devote a couple of hours to doing it if you go that route.
This is definitely a good idea, even if you're the most law abiding computer user. It's like a spring clean for a hard drive, once every 6 months or so just back up all your stuff on DVD and deep format the whole HD. You'll notice the diference after you reinstall Windows etc, it'll run smoother, and it'll have none of the incriminating evidence on it!
But yes, it takes quite a while, then you have to reinstall everything, and remember, only do it if you still have your Windows etc. disks so you can reinstall it afterwards!

You can dwnld Ccleaner (free version) and Eusing free registry cleaner.
They will wipe out all your internet history and remove any corrupted files.
I use them daily. I would recommend at least 2x's a week.
More if you really do not want anyone to see what you have been looking at.

Short answer: You are not anonymous on the internet. Its quite easy to track someone down.

My whole thing, do you really think the DEA/cops/whatever is spending all that time/energy and money to bust your small 4 plant personal grow operation? They could give a rats ass about that. In order to bust you with a indoor setup, they will need a search warrant. They need proof that you are growing (not a neighbor calling and making a complaint, etc... REAL HARD PROOF) in order to get a search warrant.

If for whatever reason you get busted... If you havent been in trouble with the law, its like 1 year probation and paying fines if you get caught (most likely even less if ya get a good lawyer).

I really dont think the DEA/FEDS/COPS are going after personal grow operations, they are looking for the big guys selling pounds and pounds of the stuff.

Best advice is to keep your grow on the down low, and dont sell it. Grow for personal use only.

Cheers,

yeah if u keep it on the down low and dont tell everybody and keep it small then no one will kno, u wont get caught
A secret garden is a safe garden.

But because I live in California, and am a qualified/registered medical marijuana patient, I am legally allowed (under Ca state law) to GROW MY OWN MEDICINE and provide my excess crop to other qualified/registered patients via a cooperative/dispensary. I can even be compensated for my time and harvest - I just have to declare any income and pay the taxes on it.

The feds need to stay the hell out of California's business.

I disagree...they take down the big time growers and movers by taking out the small time buyers....No buyers equals no market equals no reason to do it.
