A Quick-Dry process I want to share

Hey, RIU'ers..

I am all read-up on proper harvest and curing and trust me, 98+% or more of my material is going thru just that.. so no lectures on my heresy, please.

But, for many reasons, most of us like to engage in a little early sampling. But, personally, I think the quick-dry methods I've seen of putting your bud in a microwave or oven set on low are bullshit -- I can just hear those trichs poppin' and splatterin' no matter how low the power is set.. So here's my clever idea:

1. Take a china or stoneware plate and put it in the microwave BY ITSELF..

2. Heat it for two minutes on HIGH

3. While the plate is heating, fold a paper towel evenly on itself twice -- gives you 4 layers of paper.

4. Pull the hot plate (careful! :cuss:) out, put your folded paper towel on it.

5. Put your bud under the top layer of paper and weight it down lightly with a nickel or such.. just to make contact.

6. Let it sit for 15 minutes or so.. check your bud. If you want a little more dryness, repeat the process.

The heat will come up from the plate; the paper will pull the moisture released.

Try it.. it makes for some sweet-ass smokin' bud, as long as the product quality is there to begin with. bongsmilie

And don't get carried away.. this no substitute for proper drying and curing.

I know exactly what you mean , Just lets say Microvave is a super fast way od dryin with some sacrifice in quality.

But your way makes sense,

thanks

Sounds awesome but you would have to put the plate in the oven, a microwave cannot heat up an empty plate.
Try putting a plate in a mike for two minutes... then touch it.. lightly.

The more dense the plate (like real china vs lighter stoneware), the better it works.

It depends on the glaze that was used in making the plate. Some plates will not heat up at all and others will get warm and others will burn you and others will get so hot they shatter.

You wouldn’t hear any trichs popping because no trichs would pop because the bud is never in a running microwave.

The plate is heated and then after it is heated it is removed from the microwave, though it could be left in the microwave for more heat retention I suppose, and the bud is in the paper towel and then placed on the heated plate.

It's easier to just wap the plants in papertowels the same way, but put them on top of your lights for a few hours. 3-4 hours and they are ready to roll (lower buds of course, I would never try to dry a big ass bud this way).

3-4 hours? I want it NOW.... :hump:

Seriously.. that's a good idea, didn't think of that one..

That would be even better; not many living places have radiators anymore, tho.
The US must be miles ahead of us brits if they have found a way to warm houses without radiators. Would you be willing to share your new technology with us at a price?

And lol at how this thread is more about plates and microwaves than weed =D
