A 260 pulls almost 1800umol @12", and still ~1500 @18".

Apache Tech AT600 1767µmol --> 742 Watt
Black Dog Platinum XL-U 750w 725µmol --> 750 Watt
Hydro Grow LED Penetrator 336x PRO 995µmol --> 520 Watt

1500µmol with maybe 260 Watt, must be the lenses

Or a lie ;-)............those #s off of 260w are hard to digest. Only a 300 umol drop at a six inch difference? Lens angle in the teens? Lol

I have a Spec 260! It is a lot more powerful than you think... It is a great light and you can bracket them together to form one big panel...

I have the actual test results for the light. It is no lie here is a pic of the lady I just grew under it.

I've seen those pics before ;-)......impressive. so the coverage area must suffer big if the #s are legit as you say. I don't think even the AT200 gets 1500 umol at the center @18 inches with 50 degree lenses and using nichia chips; i could be wrong though.
So what diode manufacturer(s) is in the SS?

I think the BML SPYDR 600 is ~ 1800 umoles when the bars are collapsed = 2 x 3

^^ No. I think they chose 600 designation to suggest it compares to a 600 hps. Considering my first grow results, that's about right

^Sorry I neglected to add... I believe the SPYDR 600 is < 350w. Guod?

Plants are doing great under the SS 100

May well be sufficient to go from it directly to the 260, making for an awesome tag team (perpetual) set up

The young plants will be ready to move under the big tents by Wednesday, or thereabout

While I would like to move the reveg under the anticipated arrival of 2 x 150s, to the 2 x 4 (thus freeing up the tent with the SPYDR 600), that tent lacks height- only 5ft tall

BE AWARE that F & D requires the tray drain to be higher than the rez when full in order to drain back fully, and the rez needs to be deep enough to not go dry throughout the feed cycle

I would need to raise the 2 x 4 up 2 feet which would require ~ 2 stacked concrete blocks per corner. Doable, but, I may just order a taller 2 x 4 tent

Reveg continues to stretch like a mofo

I can't raise the light any higher

Been thinking how to lower the flood tray to get more head room, but will likely have to snap a few branches as I did first go-round

I has become obvious that as configured, there is too much red for vegging

So, I will leave new plants under the Solar Spec panels (will have 2 @ 150 by Wednesday)

Will wait until new plants have buds set before moving to SPYDR

but, will likely move one plant under the 260 soon, as it has a separate red ON button

Since we've seenthe SPYDR flower, I am abandoning this thread

Pet, open your pic in what ever pic viewer you use. On a mac (like I use) it is "Preview." In windows...I can't remember.
Right click on the pic and select "copy."

Now the pic is in your "clipboard."

It's been a while since I updated

I had completely forgotten that Chris sent me a sample of Hydroponic-Research +Size.

I should have started it a couple weeks ago

Oh well

Today, I added 1 tsp of +Size to the rez which was at ~ 950 this morning. She's sucking a lot more water than nutes, so ppms sky rocket ~ 20% every 24 hours

damn File Uploader not working AGAIN

Also a bunch of my Saved threads were missing this morning

This is reveg of BBCC, which was shaded by Big Mex and did not reach her full potential, at least compared to how she's growing now that she has the SPYDR all to herself

While the SPYDR does a really nice job flowering, without control of the reds, it causes way too much stretch with sat dominant plants

This is a super fast finisher, maybe 7-10 days to harvest

It has been suggested that I remove the larf to promote larger phatter buds

Since my plant is fed every hour I do not see the need, but in the name of research...

I trimmed over 4 ozs of larf today not including the leafs

I had no idea it was that much

Probably too late for much of a benefit, if at all, but time will tell
