A-Train, Blue Hash, White Widow

Long time reader....first time poster.

It's been about a year since my last indoor, but I bought a new 400w switchable ballast, 100cfm(small) fan, and fixed some light leaks in my cab. However I still have to build a carbon filter that works or I'm out of luck.

On the bill:
5 fem A-TRAIN from TH SEEDS
1 BLUE HASH freebie from DINAFEM
5 WHITE WIDOW from NIRVANA that I crossed once.

The Blue Hash popped within 18 hours. A-Train sprouted in 3 days. White Widow was started late, but 4 of 5 have popped.

Things I wish to get out of this grow:
1) I would like to build a carbon scrubber myself and use it successfully
2) Take cuttings successfully from any keepers
3) LST
4) BE PATIENT

I was thinking about feeding schedules as I haven't established any yet. I have crappy hyponex soil and it dries out quite fast. My plan so far is to veg for two weeks in the jiffy pots and then upgrade to one gallon containers or 3 gallon poly bags and switch to FFOF, as I have always had great results. I have a bottle of Fox Farm Grow Big and I plan on feeding every other day and Once a week with Seabird or Bat guano(which ever one is high in N). I wanted to be patient, so this time I'm vegging for 5-6 weeks under a 400w MH. I have never used a MH, so hopefully I see some results.

Update: All beans have sprouted, except for one of the WW's. So 10/11, but the one seed was underdeveloped. I'll have to chop a few plants when I flower, as I can only fit six 3 gallon containers in the cab. Most likely the WW will have to be culled, because I have grown them out the previous 3 grows. I'll get some pictures up tomorrow night. Any advice on feeding schedules during veg or ideas for nutes during flowering would be appreciated.

So, I went home over the weekend and came back to some very pissed of plants. I should have known that they were going to dry out with the soil that they are in now. 4 of the white widows and 3 of the A-train had fallen over. I watered them with some superthrive and within 45 mins all but one sprang back up. For the one that didn't, I tied up to give it some support until it gets back on its feet. Other than that they are fine.

These are pics after the weekend of heat stress. The third pic shows a little nutrient burn and the fourth shows the A-Train affected by heat stress that is recovering.

I noticed that 3 of 5 of the FEM A-Train have mutations on the first set of leaves. Is this normal with Feminized seeds or trainwreck?

Well it's the beginning of week two. I transplanted all of the A-Train to 3 and 2 gallon poly bags and the Blue Hash to a 3 gallon poly bag. I have 3 white widows that are breaking through the starter cups, but I really don't have any room for them except maybe if I crammed them into 1 gallon bags for a few more weeks. I really want to start cloning, but I need to build another cabinet. Are there any differences in taking clones from FEM plants?

Hi there, looking forward for Blue Hash. I'm germin one of those along with Blue Widow, both freebies too

Do you know if the freebie is Feminized? I know that it's from Dinafem, but I haven't taken the time to really check. It has some fat leaves and is the fastest growing. It is really compact too.

Here is something that I notice with one of the white widow a couple of days ago. It has a definite purple hue to it on inner top parts of the leaves. Also on the underneath it can be noticed. Is this a mutation or just an trait that only shows early or a purple Pheno?

The Blue Hash is going to be a thick plant! The nodes are pretty tight. I need to transplant two of the White widows soon, because they are rooting out.

Hey Peach! I already checked it out a few days ago and they look great. I was starting to worry about the growth that I'm getting, but they are definitely starting to develop. Did you top yours yet?

I topped all of the plants today. All of them are topped after the 4 or 5th node. The Blue Hash is getting wider and thicker. It's going to be a big plant.

That Blue Hash from Dinafem is an amazing plant. I got it as a freebie too.

I'm growing six strains right now in Aeroponic and the Blue Hash has to be the strongest plant I've ever seen. I don't know if it was just my seed or the strain itself.

I screwed up the nutes at first and everything started turning yellow except the Blue Hash. Later after I fixed the nutes, the plants started growing faster than I expected. They were all touching the lights, everything got burnt at the top, except Blue Hash. After a while, I got lazy, I didn't check the res for a while and I noticed everything was wilting severely, turns out they had no water for God only knows how long. But in the midst of everything dieing, there was my one Blue Hash plant, THRIVING.

It has the thickest stems and thickest leaves. I have yet to flower it fully in to buds. I'm hoping the smoke is just as strong as its other suits.

Most of my flowering clones are off the Blue Hash mother, just because of its hardiness. We'll see how things go.

And keep us all updated on yours as well.

I wish I could give you advice on your current problem, but I've never grown in soil. I just wanted to let you know about my Blue Hash and was curious if you get the same results as I did.

The light was about 10-12'' from the plants so I'd say there is some heat/light intensity issue. Also I've fed more than the recommended dose of FF big grow the last two feedings. You're right BLUE HASH is a sexy beast.

I switched to 12/12 over a week ago and nothing has shown yet. However, I didn't get a HPS bulb in until yesterday. Another problem seems to be heat stress. The bulb is way too close, so I need to start tying down all of the main branches. The bulb is about 10" away from the top of the plants and I have a foot left to work with now. FML.

I finally saw hairs from the blue hash. It's been 2 weeks since I switched the lights, but only 5 or so days since I put in the HPS bulb. I'd say that they are delaying sex, because of heat stress? Not too sure, but they are taking forever. The A-TRAIN are really stretchy with the exception of 1 out of 5.

Well I've been in 12/12 for 3 weeks and only the Blue Hash and White Widow have shown any sign of sex. I don't know what the hell is up with the A-train, but it's pissing me off! I'm using FF Tiger Bloom in every watering. The Blue Hash is doing the best. I changed the lighting 3 days ago to 11/13 to trigger the A-train and nothing yet. FML
