A51 RW-150 Headband Grow!

Update Day 15F:

The connoisseur I ordered isnt in stock for 2 weeks(back ordered). So I instead just bought a gallon of sensi bloom ph perfect, the guy at the store said its almost just as good, and the connie isnt overly worth the $40 price difference. Hit plants with the sensi bloom at 3/4 strength, big bud, and floralicious. My fans are pretty dark green though, think i may need to cut out the floralicious, might be getting too much nitrogen.

Also, one of my clip on fans fell down, and took off budsites on one of the main branches, and broke the branch almost in half, I tied it back together and splinted it with bamboo, and 24h later its still alive so I think it will be fine, scared the shit outta me though. Will post some pics later.

Update Day 17F: They are really starting to form buds now, looking amazing, healthy, a little too tall though. Got the 4x4 tent setup, will take pics of that tomorrow when I water. but for now, some bud shots

Update, Day18F: Nothing too special going on, moved the plants into the 4x4 last night and took down the Growlab tent, it leaks light a bit too much, and the zipper is a massive pain in the ass, just gonna sell it and stick with the 4x4. Still waiting on the 4th rw-150 to arrive, should be any day now! Buds are fattening up pretty fast, watered with 3/4 strength sensi bloom, floralicious plus at 1ml/gal, big bud at 2ml/L, and calmag(ofc).

Day 24F: Theyre slowly getting bigger, i was told they start getting big at around day 35, so its coming! Here are some new Pics of them, they have definitely increased in size, I can see a difference daily, the big bud makes a difference. I received shipping confirmation for my 4th rw-150 yesterday so it should be arriving next week, and I can really crank up the light! Also, popped some vanilla kush seeds, from barneys farm, Germed for 24h and they all had a taproot coming out so I put them in solo cups with this new coco(Ugro Pure max air, coco premixed with 30% perlite). Under a 2ft 4 bulb t5 fixture for the veg, in my "veg closet". Also, they're looking quite frosty, and starting to STANK. I will start a separate journal for the Vanilla kush shortly.

My buddy always talks about how good the Vanilla Kush is from Barneys Farm. I never got to smoke any of it but I guess its a good strain from what he says.

Plants are looking real healthy going to start blowing up for you in a couple weeks here.

Nice grow. Barneys Vanilla Kush is excellent smoke! FYI that strain needs more magnesium than many others do. Even with more than the usual amount of Cal-Mag, I developed a severe Mag deficiency with VK a few grows ago that nearly killed my plants and reduced yield significantly. The next grow I added in Epsom Salts and all was well. Another thing is that VK doesn't stretch a lot in flower so a bit longer vegging may be helpful to get a nice yield.

Yes, the no stretch is why i picked it, I am always bad at estimating when to flower, and they end up getting too big. Thats why im starting these so early, so by the time these are done flowering, the seedling will be good and ready for a vigorous veg under the LED's. this time im doing 4 plants, and doing them a bit bigger, in 3 gallon hempys instead of 2.

Update Day 28F: Plants are really starting to pack on the weight and resin, smell fu**ing epic. I got too busy and went 5 days between watering(whoops), but they didn't look very sad(thank god for hempys). Anyways, here's some pics, still at 3/4 Sensi Bloom, 1ml/gal of Floralicious Plus, 8ml/gal Big bud, and 5ml/gal of calmag, no deficiencies or problems so far(knock on wood), think i finally found the perfect formula. Also, based on tracking, my 4th rw-150 should be arriving tomorrow, but temps were a bit high today due to summer heat, so not sure if im gonna put it in yet.

Update Day 31F: Buds are still swelling up noticeably every day. Still on the same feed schedule. The 4th rw-150 arrived today though, so i threw it in the tent, we'll see if it helps lol. Pics !

Sorry if this is a stupid question but how are you securing your clip fans? Did you have to wrap something around the pole then clip them? It looks a lot cleaner then my setup.

Do you happen to know what the name of the fans are?

I just clipped them on to the poles, gotta be careful though and make sure they are secured very well, I had one fall off and cut off some side branches early on. The fans are Mainstays i think, just walmart brand $7 fans, nothing too special.

And thanks for the support! I love these lights, hence buying 4 of them.

Yea I had the problem with clip on fans falling when I try to clip them to the pole but it looks like yours are pretty secure, I thought you may have done more then just clip them. Maybe mine is just too heavy.

I have an RW-75 and will be picking up a second one for my 2.5x.2.5 tent, your grow is making me want at least two RW-150s! I hope I get good results off two RW-75s...

Im sure you will get great results ! I have been saving for a long time, and HID was not an option as I live in a highrise apartment building, nowhere to vent heat, Hopefulyl 600w of LED isn't too noticeable, since my electricity is all inclusive LOL.

When i have had grows fail, it has not been directly due to lighting, it has been either, overfert, deficiencies, or heat that has given me poor results. This time I have all of that dialed in perfectly, and lots of light to boot! Just make sure you have all the other elements smoothed out, and things will work out great!

hey mate a thing you can do just to correct your mg is put a tbsp of epsom salts ( 1tbsp/gal ) in a little bit of warm water and then into your feed water instead of giving both ca mg, just an idea!

Meh, i've never messed around with epsom salts, i find some plants will get a pretty bad calcium deficiency if I dont use calimagic, I put it in just to be safe, and it's cheap enough, at $23/litre(costs about 11 cents a galon, a litre will do 200 gallons of water).

Looking at other peoples grows, my buds seem kind of small for day 33 of 12/12, Anyone else see this? or am i crazy, they seem to be all tops and the tops are quite small, the lower buds aren't swelling too much. Starting to stress me out a little, could it have something to do with the 2% N in the floralicious plus i've been using ? Or perhaps because they didnt show pistils until day 12 of 12/12 ?

I keep flower count from day one of pistils. And no worries, ur eyes are playong tricks on ya, keep doing what your doing, less is always better.

If I were to count from then, it would mean they are on day 23, which would make more sense based on their size. My friend who is growing the same on is on week 5 and his are WAYYY bigger, but he vegged his for a LOT longer, and he also had preflowers at day 2 of 12/12, perhaps I just need to count from when i first see pistils from now On ? I was considering this but when searching it's about 50-50 split between that and day of 12/12
