About to finish my first successful grow

About to finish my first successful grow and eventhough I've read quite a lot about when I should chop her, I'd love an opinion from people who know more about me on the subject (that would be 99% of the posters here :p)

That being said, when do you think I should axe her? I'm on the 68th day of 12/12. Obviously I know about trichs etc

Thanks in advance :leaf:

Many weeks away from harvest in my opinion.
Like 2-3? That's what I have in mind from what I've read so far and seen in other peoples' plants. Am I entering the phase now that bud sites will start getting fat? I've also read that thread about the https://www.rollitup.org/harvesting-curing/401972-new-high-times-suggests-harvesting.html thread, about chopping plants earlier and got me wondering a bit, that's actually the reason I felt I had to ask.

I also liked https://www.rollitup.org/harvesting-curing/210501-zeuss-take-harvesting.html thread quite a lot.

Yeah, 2-3 seems about right, although every grow differs. I just read "about" so made my post in the hope that "about" didn't mean in the enxt few days :) Good to hear you're reading up on what is what :) a rare trait in new growers.

Thanks mate, appreciate your prompt reply and the nice comments :) Yeah I'm obviously not expecting an exact quote, every plant/environment/grower, fuck even water is different, just need to check on my ideas about how long I guess she still needs and read what people with actual growing experience have to say.

You have let her go for longer than 50 days I think you probably know more than 99% of the posters on here, as for the plants looking at the pictures I'd re-assess in a fortnight nice looking grow

ha ha :) Ta mate. Yeah, coming friday I'll repost some pictures, see how she goes. She's already gaining extra volume on the buds, the change is evident day by day.

Definitely invest in at least a 30x jeweler's loupe. It's an absolute necessity in my opinion because at this point you're really trying to harvest trichomes rather than the plant.

.

It's good to be a little patient when you've come this far! I've noticed my ladies have bulked up a little during these final couple of weeks.

Already got one of those shity microscopes, got 60x and 100x. But I'm trying to get a holistic view of the plant. I got hooked on the notion that it'll be like a tomato, even if it's red, it might not be ready, you gotta feel it when it'll be ripe for harvest. I get a feeling that the trichs should only be a last check, just to know how they look like at that point. This is just a feeling as there's no prior experience, I guess I'm about to find out in the next days/weeks :)

Your grow is looking awesome btw! The Waterfarm design has gotta be one of, if not the, best bang for the buck in hydro.
