Ac unit exhaust and carbon filter

Has anyone ever tried a single exhaust a.c. unit inline with a carbon filter and just deleted the fan. I'm assuming that airflow rate and speed are critical but it's one less item to buy the inline fan. Also it would need to exhaust all the time, I think I'm just wishful thinking here. Need a dehumidifier, a.c. and heater, looked at the Danby 12,000 4 in 1 and the Noma 3 in 1. Overkill on my room it's an 8x8x8.

If I was going to try something like that, in order to mitigate flow restriction, I would upsize the filter.

So lets say the AC unit has a 6 inch exhaust duct. We step up to 8 inch for the inline carbon filter.

Really though with the extra cost of the inline style filter you would probably be better off buying a fan.

Yeah I agree its probably not a good idea having to upsize filter because of the restriction on the a.c.. it would hamper the ac's performance greatly. only one unit I came across lists the flow rate so it would be a lot of messing around and at the end of the day wasted money.

The 3 in 1 does interest me on its own, my humidity is thru the roof right now with new setup of running fabric pots with a sip, not a good idea in retrospect. I'm running led at 850 W in an 8x8 and my temps when ambient are greater than say 21C the room gets north of 29C. I'm going to look at starting my lights at 4 pm to get room up to temp faster but level off when sun goes down. Try and transition my girls from a 8 am on to a 4 pm on, anyone have a reccomendation the best way to do that? They are at 13 on 11 off currently and budlets just formed.
