adding 660nm to 3000k QB

Are there users of strips/quantum boards that have any thoughts on adding 660nm leds to the grow?

I know that buds will flower well without them but when comparing some brands on ther spectrum it look likes the Samsung chips are lacking in the 660nm range. Some manifactures produce a bit more red in their spectrum.

I use Osram Oslons but in the same color and love the results. 66% in 3000k and 33% in 660nm.

Nice to see, did you notice a difference in flowertime or the forming of bud with it?

Anything I saw is merely speculating and there seems to be enough of that around here. I grow for personal stash quality though and I wouldn't grow with anything else. I know the science though and 660nm is called photo red for a reason. You wont be upset if you decide to add it. I wouldn't go over 50% though (or 40% for that matter)

Yes, best advice is to try it(+660nm monos) yourself OP vs straight 3000k and come to your own conclusions....

How much of that type pcb's are you using? (didn't find pictures of your setup)

Speculating on this but to answer the question, I saw explosive growth in veg but no change in flower time.

510 watts on this grow running at 1400mA. I could run them softer and gain efficiency but i would have to use more boards to do it.

So each boards at like 57watts. Where did you get those PCBs? I like that. They're 36fv?

I don't weigh my product really so not sure.
I designed them and had them reflowed for me in California using sinkpads. I can run them higher too. At 2100mA the units too hot though. I think 1050 to 1400 is the swretspots for them.

Its alll kinda the same tho. QBs or COBs do much of the same. Growmau sells red 660nm pucks I believe.

I have far red initiators in 730.

Yeah Im sold on the science but without heavy 660nm or 680nm with your whites during lights on, Im not sure you'll gain much. Very well could be wrong though. How long have you been using it?

Well I love my cobs but really want to use photon fantom boards but I never have the extra $50/per board or he's out of stock when I do, and I wanna do a 4Vero29 4 board mix but am starting to think I should just go 6 boards because I already have an HLG240c-2100b lying around for 3 boards.
