advanced led new arc series does anyone know what cree modules they are using ?

Another rip off made by Advanced LED... trust me you better go with E. Shine for 1/3 the price.....
 
picograv did i say something to offfend you for calling me dumb ? lets not start a flame thread here. what is dumb about wanting to make my own panel ? save 80 percent of the cost. seems pretty thrifty to me. thank you for reccomending eshine to me. research has revealed to me that they dont have a very good reputation, warranty work is dissmal at best, and they use the cheapest source led bins they can find. so i appreciate you recommending this company to me. i also have a friend thats an electrical engineer that will help me build my own panel if i choose to do it. if you would like to add anything thats helpful i would certainly appreciate it..
 
It's chinese, thats probably why (lol). But the construction is well build I must admit.. little issue I believe about them is they going for a "WATTAGE FRENZY" a bit much, focusing too much on high power on a too small coverage area, making them less useful... efficient. I would recommend going for their biggest panel of their 3G serie (400X3W) and by asking them to put only 200-300X3W chips but
 
711grower, there is nothing dumb in making is own panel, only thing I'm guessing, it's that if you need a good amount of LED's, like a 1000-2000X1W LED's it's going to take you for ever to assemble the panels.

About Eshine LED chips they use, they claim using mostly Epistar and bridgelux for their lights unit... maybe it's bulshit, it's hard to say, but what I'm saying is it do the job for my experience

i did it watching a movie...about 70leds and 130W
complete panel about watching 2 movies...while doing it.

i had heat paste, a good soldering iron, solder, flux and all that already, so DIY was a nobrainer for me

so copieng that panel just attaching like 4 cree 50watts leds to a heatsink and using a fan would be like super easy...
i didnt check, either skip the lense stuff or find something fitting

imo, rather always get like 2x 30W of those instead of 1 x 60W u gotta spread the light

I was not calling you dumb, you clearly stated you wanted to build your own panel and L3 was tell you to buy Eshine?
 
$549 donation gets you a panel...

I spent less and I'm happy.

That 4-pot pulls 178w ... I'd rather have my panel with 23 less watts.
 
looking at the other link of ur 11W led panel u d even have to spend 16x 50$ = 800$ to get 178w :P

$50 doesn't even include a driver for those LED's, each is $15 if you buy it through them. The argument is even MORE stacked in your favor. All that being said, djwimbo's argument had nothing to do with Watts. He was saying he'd rather spend the same money as he would a BS240 on Illumitex and deal with having less Watts. Piss away money, or piss away electricity while hoping you don't have to RMA your crappy tech LED panel? Choice is yours, and your opinions differ. I'd leave it at that.
 
The idea with spotlights is to maximize usage, you have to have multiples. 2-3 overhead, and the rest pointed directly at the next bud sites down. That panel doesn't have penetration power, but you can apply the light more evenly with spotlights. Even light distribution is IMO more important than a single "bright" source.

It actually looks like a really good light, in my opinion. I have been growing for a short time now, and have the Diamond Series LED lights that were made by the same people. I'm thinking of backing this product.
 
Are they gonna get fully funded on the Kickstarter campaign? Only 7 days left and about $13k short.
