I’ve been growing a long time. Got sucked into using big bud and overdrive around 18yrs ago. allot of us here have experience doing the same. i don’t use any of that shit anymore, didn’t even use them before i tried them out. Just sayin. I still fell like a sucker. But got sucked into it. Can’t wait for your report back on your experiment.
I currently use just Megacrop. If i wasn’t using megacrop i’d be rocking gh’s maxi series. Their flora nova is cool too but a lil more expensive. One parts! Nothing else except ph up and down and maybe some calmag depending on if i’m in coco, starting with RO water, etc. i grow fire.

Another one who reacts to what paid shills have said about Big Mike and AN without ever looking into the facts.

Big Mike was never accused of any pedo activity but one of his long gone partners was. It happened when they were in Mike's homeland of Bulgaria, Hungaria or one of those *aria countries, organizing against the repressive gov't of the time. It was as likely a false accusation to get them to back off as it was reality. No trial or conviction ever happened and about 6 months later Mike bought out those partners.

When AN first started Mike couldn't get advertising space in any of the magazines like Maximum Yield or go to any of the trade shows unless he hid his products behind pretty pictures of fruits and veggies like GH and almost all the others still do. GH especially worked hard to discredit AN and there's plenty of proof about them paying shills to post on forums like this with all sorts of BS that still follows him to this day thanks to uninformed/ignorant people forwarding those lies like they were true. Lot of that going around these days in almost every subject you care to look at.

The Big Lies are everywhere with plenty of rubes to help spread them.

Like most large and successful companies the founders have little control over promotion and marketing as shareholders demand profits over vision.

Dude. You seem like a cool guy but if you are rockin straight up watered down nutes, AND using their additives, well lemme say this, you’re wasting your money.
Some of you, on the hobby level, it doesn’t matter. But their stupid additives are a god damn waste of money. Straight up. Pedo or not. Their ph down is strong, i’ll give them that much

I tried Overdrive and found it useless but hate growing without Big Bud and have used it since it was invented. I do side-by-sides with any new nutes and found MegaCrop fine during veg but not so hot in flower without Big bud tho I used the Green Terra Big Up 0-52-34 PK boost at the start of flower and midway started using the the Rock Steady 0-0-62 along with the MC base nutes. Identical clones from the same mother were used to keep variables as low as possible.

I just use the 3-part, Big Bud and some Rhino Skin in DWC. Have lots of other non-AN stuff to fill in any gaps.

In case you missed it.

The first hydro nutes I ever used was in 7 or 8 baggies with a cheat sheet on how to mix it. That was back in '82 and the guy at Western Water Farms in Vancouver told me this was the recipe for 'special tomatoes', nod nod, wink wink. Didn't dare talk about pot in the stores in those days.

I bought gallon jugs of the 3-part 5 or 6 years ago now for a total of $124 and still have half left. $70 for a 500g can of Big Bud powder and still close to half of that left as well. It's cost me more to buy RO water in that time and power is easily 75% of my total operating costs as it's not cheap here in northern Alberta. Sure it's pre-mixed but it's dead easy and I can tailor my feedings for what the plant needs at whatever stage it's in. Never having to check the pH makes it worth it at twice the price. :)

I didn’t start going into the local hydro store in the Bay Area until 1991. And yeah you never talked about weed. Shit, i would often borrow somebody’s car and used to act as if I was being followed by the cops and had to lose them before going home. . Paranoid AF! I sware, pretty much all they had was GH’s flora-series which was a local company. GH’s first additive they originally came out with Kabloom powder, now koolbloom. I admit, I used that stuff for a bit after not using anything for years thinking it was helping lol. That and some brand Cyto spray or some seaweed extract like that. I remember it was when Advanced hit the shelves is when all them additives did too. And I got sucked i into using them after reading all about how awesome they were from everyone on Overgrow lol. I woke up, did an experiment and ditched those bottles of unnecessary products.
GH has allot more additives out now and IMO those are not necessary either.

AN is worth having to feed more to avoid PH adjustments if you hate doing it like me. Mix and match. My experience is you really don't need a majority of it. N, P, K, cal mag. Big up powder, recharge, azos

pH adjustment has nothing to do with AN or their "pH perfect formula". It's all just bs marketing, you adjust pH and mineral ratios according to your source water.

You only need a complete plant food, traditionally A and B base. It doesn't have to be divided in 5 different bottles with colourful labels, each to their own.
