Advanced Nutrients VS. Mega Crop

Well the " other " nutes I've used simply did NOT work as well as Mega Crop for me anyway. Bottom line.
For me the results, plus value, plus ease of use equal the best thing I've found yet. I'm adding some P-K boost and getting a great a result imo.
Unless someone shows me first hand way something better, I'm not experimenting past Mega Crop for now.
I'm honestly blown away at how this stuff works so well.
It's growing monsters for me.

Do you know about the MC 2.0 formula and whether people are still adding extra PK with it? I am still on the old formula so I add PK.

I run hydro with a 100 Gallon reservoir with no medium except clay pellets in a flood and drain. Here are some pics of buds with MC. I disagree it doesn't work in hydro lol. All I do is weigh it, then dump it in and stir. So easy. MC also has better mineral chelation and additional additives than simple NPK formula. If you haven't used it I dunno why you are bashing it. I use it in Promix soil and hydro.
I used to pay for water lol, what a dummy I was. I thought you were going to say Jacks, which I hear is pretty good dry fert but lacks the extras MC has.
When did I say 'it doesn't work in hydro'? The NPK of Mega is not ideal for hydro. It will work but you're leaving yield on the table. I've done the side by sides.

Grown with a simple one part liquid food. Easy peasy...

Nice plants! I pull a really great yield with MC 1.0 and some PK after week 4 of flowering or so. My best so far has been 5+ lbs from 1.1kw, over 2 grams per watt. So I'm not complaining at all. MC is so easy and if I were to use liquid food for my 100 gallon reservoir I'd need way too much of it, especially since I change the reservoir every week. This one 22lb bag of MC has lasted me forever.

Not sure of the growing style you used for your comparison grow, but with my grows and MC I have calculated my cost for the nutrient and it is very cheap. I've grown 25+lbs of indoor hydro with that one bag and that bag cost me 130$ CDN. The equivalent amount of DynaGrow required would cost me well over 1000$. I'm not sure it's worth trying anything else (except MC 2.0) the results have been so great for me compared to what I used to pay for A+B liquid nutrients. But whatever works for you man. Clearly you have some nice buds there.

What EC are you feeding at and how many watts are you flowering with?

I usually feed 4-4.5 grams/gallon MC ( after week 4 of flower) I add 1/3 or so of the recommended amount of PK (I use 0-50-30 DNF PK), which generally works me out to an EC of between 1.7 - 2.0 EC (Master Crop 1.0 formula). 2.0 EC is really on the high side for me, usually around 1.7, but usually I have 3-4 strains feeding off the one reservoir so sometimes it is higher. I have 1100watts of QB. I also pull my water from the lake.

With all due respect, something isn't adding up. Even on the low end of 4 g/gal (which is under 1.0 EC), you're using 400 grams of MC each week which means your 22 lb bag is only good for at the most 3 cycles (25 weeks). Even at your best of 2g/w for three consecutive rounds that's a total yield of 14.5 lbs.

In all reality you're probably feeding a bit more, growing a strain that goes longer than 8 weeks, and yielding much less (on average), which means your previous statements of 25 lbs per bag are greatly exaggerated.

Not at all. This bag has lasted me a year and a half. As I said I also use lakewater, so that has a base EC that is full of good minerals etc. of about 0.4 EC . ~ 4-4.5lbs is my average yield 4x a year... I only recently started changing my res every week, before that I would only add 50% solution to the res (top up, not switchout), and during veg when they are small clones I would not change the res at all for sometimes 3 weeks, I would only top it up. I get at least 4 crops a year so that is 6 crops with 4-4.5 lbs a yield of the bag. AT least 25 lbs. I only just finished my first bag 2 weeks into my 7'th run. About a year ago I bought another bag cause I thought I was gonna run out soon, lol. So I just opened that. Bottom line, nothing I've seen that is one part has been cheaper than MC, not even close.

I'm on the new stuff now. Honestly don't see any difference in results from old to new. Both work great.
Yes I added P-K boost to both formulas 1.0 and 2.0. I recently increased P-K boost from week 5 and on about 25%. I feel that it is a bit better from the results since then.
Happy Happy.

In week 1-4 of flower I add 550 grams of Mega to 100 gallons of water.
In week 5 and on's reservoir I use 740 grams into 125 gal reservoir.
Now in the 125 gal reservoir the EC will be as high as 2.2 to 2.4 that first day...so I feed it that high. I little blast for them. Then the next day I'll add some water and mix it down to about 1.8 EC. So one day of heavy feed followed by 3 days of lighter more normal Level of EC.
I also PH my mix to 6.3

6.3??? I would worry about CalMag def under the white LEDs at that PH? I guess you don't run white LEDs though?

How long it last is irrelevant imo.
That can vary from a number of variables. Such as amount of runoff you do....size of pot...humidity level. Number of plants being grown.
All that counts is the mix ratio.

Sure .

DynaGro is hosting a grow competition here, there is a thread on this site somewhere. Weekly pics are required along with details of the grow. It starts in like 10 days. In theory you could still exaggerate but with pics that's going to be awful hard ;-). What do you say, you in?

Yes I do....no issues. I use both HPS and LED's. I add 1 ml per gallon of cal mag weeks1-4 then cut in half after that. Just started that to increase bud density. Seems to be helping.
With the lakewater my PH seems to want to stay around 6.1-6.2. So I don't force it much lower than that. Maybe 5.8 for a day but then it just pops back up to 6.2 or so.

I already posted pictures on page 1 of this thread of buds and crops I grew with MC. I started changing my res every week this grow only, as I noticed I would get the occasional nute def. on some strains from what I suspect was nute lockout due to infrequent res changes. So believe what you want, makes no difference to me. It certainly stretched my MC usage though. This time with weekly res changes it will still be far cheaper than Dynagrow though.

Are you like a Dynagrow rep or something? The stuff is like 10x the price of MC. I currently have a MC grow going, it is 16 days into bud. I have no need to prove anything, I will simply update my journal and the other med patients thread I post on. I'm happy with MC and that is all that matters to me, other people can experiment all they want....give me something better for the same price or less and I'm in.

Even changing it every week I'm still going to get two full runs (8-9lbs) off a bag of MC. A gallon of Dynagrow is like 250$ and won't even get me half way into bud on 1 grow.

How long a bag can last does matter though, it matters how much you are spending per pound on nutes, i.e. how much can you grow with that one bag for x$.

Gotta think big brother...big.
It lasts as long as the plants your growing need it. Can't change that.
It has everything to do with style of growing.
This stuff is by far the best value on the market at present.
Dyna Gro knows it too. That's why the main Mega Crop thread was deleted. Money talks around here.
I've paid for a bunch of these bottle bandits nutes in the past....fuck that anymore. I don't need to raped repeatedly to know it hurts. Dyna Gro know's that Mega Crop is a BIG problem to those who sell water in bottles with some plant food added.
Who needs to experiment...done that...proved Mega Crop is the best so far for me.
Not about to buy somebodies get rich quick nutes are we? Schill^^^^
Let face it these nute companies don't want anyone to know he truth.
I know folks in the business and they laugh at all the fools who buy their water. It's an industry inside joke.
Take a look at farms.....ALL there fertilizers come in dry bags. They wouldn't buy water either.
These fancy bottles are for boutique weed growers seeking the holy grail.
For me Mega Crop is that so far anyway.
Dyna gro water can stay where it belongs...on the over priced shelf. Along with all the other gold in bottles I paid through the nose for. They Can't compete and they know it. So discrediting is the next best thing.
These nute companies know that the end product has big value...they want their piece of that pie.
