advice for a Newbie on sitting up a cannabis grow in a limtited space

greetings,

i am a novice in the feild of cannabis cultivation and would like to seek advice on the setting up my first grow in a limited space . my plan is to grow inside my closest make a tent or grow box there. the measures of my closet is 130 cm in wildth, 50 in length and 185 in height using mars hydro 1000 light.

my main concern is whether the mass hydro 1000 is sufficient for both vegging and flowering in the same space or if i should consider splitting it into tow tents. however, i am on a tight budget and doubling my expensas may not be feasible.

additionally, i would like to know what yield i can expect from this space and setup.

i would appreciate any reommendations pr advice on how to make the most out of this limited space.

That lights footprint is pretty small for your space. Something like the tsl2000 would be better.
1g per watt should be easy to pull off.
How are you planning on venting the closet? Carbon filter?

yes im planning to put a carbon filters do you have better advice for that ?

I would go and download Jorge Cervantes free grow book at seedsman.com a lot info and pics .

Definity look into a scrog grow. That way you can maximize your height for your lighting and need for ventilation. A blower fan and carbon filter eat up some precious space in closet grows. Do you have means of getting the air exchanged? Can you show a photo of the space?

As for yield, man, that depends on soo many factors that its impossible to tell. If i were growing in that space i would expect 1/2 pounds a pull. I don't have any comments on your lighting. But i will say Ive grow with some DIY CFL hoods and have been fine, definitely not top dog quality but it was smokable.

not enough light for the whole space, Id use that light for half of the area (roughly 2ftx2ft). I looked it up it said 150w rms, real wattage. 150 could cover a 2x2.
Id run 1-4 plants in the space. Anywhere between 1 and 5 gallon containers.
Carbon filter and a inline fan mounted near the top and vented out of the closet. Passive air intake from the negative pressure made by the inline and carbon filter being vented out of the space. Oscillating fan mounted as well near light height.
Yield is just a guessing game. Roughly, 1-6 oz. total.

Small space would be well served with a 6 inch infinity fan with humidity and temp control.

You can get away with 250-340Watts in a 2x4 area.

The Mars Hydro TS1000 is a 150W (Actual draw) light. So you could technically fit two those in there. But you could also just use the one for now, and upgrade in the future when budget allows. (Two may get pretty toasty in there without adequate ventilation.)

In the space that size you will want at least a 4" or 6" inline fan, and scrubber (optional).

also back too topic! bra your growing in a 2x4x6FT space with your 150watt light you can probably yield like 100 grams of dry nug weight or maybe more! but its not enough light for the whole space i would use 2 of those lights if i was you but you dont need too buy a second one right away if i was you i would buy a carbon filter / centrifugal fan keep the 150 watt mars hydro led light and grow with it for 1 grow see how it goes! good luck mate!

i didnt start my grow yet i dont feel confident enough and im worried about the smell so im hesitating to start.. the problem is i live in a flat and my wife sister start to live with us.. im worried that the smell can leak out .. what do you think guys, would it be smelly even if i seald the closet with carbon filters and i attend to use also ona odor neutralizer and clean the surface in my room with odor eliminators plus putting airpurifier. lastly grow something like ( jack herer and northren lights) strain with low odor
would that be enough to not have anykind of smell in my room/house

nothing but a mountain air filter could fool a noisey sister in law
but if she living there id say its pointless trying to hide it
as soon as she goes in your room she will hear the fan

Hiding a grow like that will be more difficult than you think. You have to run your fans and they make noise and there will be some smell even with the carbon filter (and you will be oblivious to it because of habituation). I do not recommend having Ona near your grow either. The smell will end up in your bud.

That said I've had people sit on couch just in front of a grow I had in a closet. The door was slightly open, some yellow light came out and the exhaust ducting was hanging on the door knob... And some of them still didn't notice. So ymmv.

If your sister in law knows you blaze it may be easier to hide the smell, just smoke a bowl every now and then to mask the smell, say its only cbd flower

she knows that i we smoke but i always try to limit the smell as much as i can .. smells of cannabis does annoy her sometimes.
also i have visitors sometimes
i attend to put the fan in separate shelf with sound insulator in the closet.

odor is not an option for me so i guess..
So i guess its cant be doable even with everything i mentioned and using low odor strains.

You need a bit more light for the space you want about 300w of led light for that area. Plenty of budget options though just hop on Amazon look for a 300w grow light rated at 2.5umol/j or better. Brand is unimportant they all do the about same but I would recommend getting one that can dim
