hey first grow.

4x2 tent
dakini kush strain
mars sp250
4” inline fan w/filter 24/7
nutes are dr jimz chicken soup for soil every other watering
2 small oscillating fans inside tent
rh controlled w/ inkbird stays around 45%
5 gal fabric pot w/ happy frog soil

i started 5 plants and veg them until they hit about 18” tall then flipped to 12/12 two weeks ago. i was hoping to take 2 plants through flower. however, 4 out of 5 are male. i tossed them and am left with the one female.

my question is how should i proceed now? should i just finish the grow so i can start my feminized seeds sooner? or should i go back to 18/6 and start a scrog? how much of a setback would that be going back to veg?

not sure which way i am leaning on this. i just want to have an idea of my options moving forward. anyway, here she is...

Nothing to stop you planting your feminised seeds now.
They won't go into flower until they're about 4 weeks old no matter what lights they are under.
And if you want them in veg longer, just pull them out of the tent when the lights go off.

I don't bother to put anything in a tent until I want to force them.
My seedlings and clones just sit in the room by the window for the first month.
These were cuttings one month back.

Personally i would imagine focusing all your energy into this plant. Its so gorgeous and healthy dude. Focus on getting the best possible yield out that one and order the fem seeds so long. With the new grow comes expertise and then boom you've got more epic bud. Conditions are perfect in that tent, humidity nice and low etc. Gorgeous! Well done

You could super crop every branch low down and splay it out to cover more space getting maximum light to every node.
i actually was bending one of the branches down to spread it out and it split a bit at the stalk. i taped it up. i don’t think it was that bad and it should be fine. i will be more careful with whatever further training i do.

it’s been topped a few times and looks to me like it’ll have quite a few bud sites getting light. i love how bushy this plant is.

maybe i will get couple feminized seeds started as suggested. i can leave them on my sun porch during the day when tent lights are off and move them into the tent at night when they’re on. that could work.

Im curious if my temps are getting too high with the lights on. It’s been getting up to 85 F at times. I already moved the driver outside the tent and ive got the fan running at full speed. Lights out temps are 70-74.

Perhaps I should have gotten the 6” as opposed to the 4” fan? Or maybe the filter is clogged, idk. The tent walls are sucking in but there’s not a ton of air blowing out. I’m not sure what is normal as far as the air blowing out. Maybe it’s the way I set it up? I have the fan outside the tent and the carbon filter inside, connected by idk like 3’ of ducting. Should the fan be inside and closer to the filter? Advice on that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for all the feedback so far. I really like the idea of starting my feminized gelato 33’s now and just moving them in and out of the tent. I would not have thought of that...but doing that, I could pretty much flip them as soon as this plant is done flowering. This strain supposedly takes 9 weeks once it gets going. I do not plan to clone this plant. Dispensaries are closed due to the rona and i want to get as much as i can from this one.

Were are you exhausting your air?
Im exhausting it directly into the room. The room is my sun porch. It’s about 20’ x 8’, all windows. I leave a few windows open and the door to the house open. Ambient temp of the room is probably 65-80 depending on the weather outside. I am in MA. I do have central air, just hoping to avoid running it too much.

Actually, since lights on is at nighttime, the ambient temps are on the low end of that range. When the lights are off, tent temp is 70-74.

It’s a bit cool outside today. Temp in the room is currently 69, as is the tent with lights off. I will compare ambient to temp tent later on when lights come back on. Here’s a pic of the room. With a couple windows open, all the air from the room blows right outside.75907134-C4BE-4F55-8511-9C2CF2E03E38.jpeg4453B8E9-E273-4EEC-AD6F-7EFF83D1A5E9.jpeg

Might need a bigger fan for exhausting air. I have the ac infinity 6inch fan. Works great in my 4x4 only time I run into issues is when the ambient temps get to high than I have to use an ac.
also venting your exhaust out of the room the tent is in will make a huge difference.

Before I started this, my first grow, I was advised to go with the 6” but I wanted to save a few bucks after dropping a bunch of loot on everything. I should have listened!

I’ll probably go ahead and order the 6”. Not sure if exhausting it out the window is feasible right now. I would probably have to run the ducting along the ceiling and out the top of a window. I gotta think about it.

I may just try darkening shades and order a 6” fan. Temps here supposed to hit 90 next week. Will probably have to run the ac.

Is this a good one? If not what would you all suggest? Is ac infinity a better choice? Im about to order it.

A lot of credit for this plant should go to @Airwalker16 and @New Age United , RIP. I did my best to over water them, thinking I had it under control when I didn’t, repeatedly. I’ve gotten a better handle on it the past few weeks, but only because they helped me out. It’s most likely not totally dialed in yet. @New Age United had been seeking out this strain for years. I feel terrible that he passed away before getting ahold of some seeds. I hope I can make some nice buds in his honor.

im day drinking lagunitas and smoking some master kush.

I have an 8" IPower filter/fan from Amazon and I think it's great, it's been running almost non-stop for about 1 1/2yrs and cannot smell anything coming out the exhaust vent. My 400 watt hps light is IPower also, runs great and getting my moneys worth.
