hey, i was using a tent but now i put my plants outside for flowering, but this is just a genral question as towards the end of using my tent for veg i bought a thermometer (a bit late but i was broke) so anyway, with the light on and the fan which sucking the air out the tent, its 31.3c and humidity is 45% so i know thats too hot, lights off it is 26.7c at 45% humidity, which is idealy what i want it to be when lights are on, so the big question is how do i lower the temp? do i just add a extra fan in the tent?

31 C or 88F is higher than I ever would want unless you are enriching with C02. I don't use a tent but I like to keep my lights on temps at 25C max....and then it seems you don't want more than a 10-15 degree drop with lights out. As for lowering temps in the tent don't the tents already have Vent hookups? idk don't use them but imo add more air circulation or crack the door to get some hot air out.

Open a window when lights are on during winter.
Vent air outside the room that has the tent in it or vent the air outdoors
Lights on during the night.
Add a fan to directly blow on the light(s).
AC in the room.

quick word of advice , a tent great, look get a 5 gall on bucket add water and 2 pounds of sugar and 1 bag of yeast . free co2 ! and idk your situation prob better to flower in the tent , those plants need to be pitch dark those 12 hours, temp sound like you have it figured out

I did these exact things and went from 85 to 77 where I can get the lights within a foot of the plants. Do these things immediately. AC and the out duct made all the diff...but do them all.

be carefull ducting your heat outside the cops know you dont have a dryer in your master bedroom closet :) and Flir camera will pick up the heat leaving the house. its best to vent into attic or basement if you can.

88F is not "ideal" temps but a plant will certainly grow in those temps, evaporation is probabally your biggest issue as the hotter it is the faste the water evaps out of soil. Either way shoot for them ideal conditions 77 is probabally about as ideal as it gets for temp. RH i think should be fairly high in veg and around 40% in flower (i think) im assuming you live in the south somewhere as up north plants dont fair well in December outside :)

best way to drop temps is to have your passive intake pulling in cool air, if the air isnt cool where the tent is setup maybe pull air from your basement or like the other guy said AC the room
