These girls are 6 weeks old. Cuts. Im going to top a few nodes down to use the tops as clones. Also going to take cuts from the bottom 3-4 branches. Im planning to completely take off the lower branches before flowering. My question is directly after I take the cuts from the lower 3-4 branches if it would be safe to completely remove these branches or would that be too much stress on them at once??? Would it be better just to take the clones now then take the rest of the branches off in 1-2 weeks right before flipping??? Off topic....part of these are from cuts that came from a plant that showed hermie at about 3 weeks into flower. Will these def be hermie or is there a chance Ill get any girls??? Wondering if the mom was turned because of stress after the cuts were taken and maybe there good. Thx in advance guys. Bud shot of the moms for good measure.

Ya I dont want any larf. Thats why Im plannong on completely removing 3-4 branches from the bottom and going down 3-4 nodes down. Ill also trim 1/3 of the remaining fan leaves. Im looking for input on topping 3-4 nodes down and removing 3-4 lower branches all at the same time is safe to do or if it would cause too much stress???

Yeah its stress but the plant will come back. The thing is whether or not you're willing to wait the additional time it takes for the plant to recover. Talking week or 2 when ur cutting branches and tops

Im waiting 2 weeks for my big girls to flower before I can flip these so thats not a concern. Was mainly worried about stressing them to the point that they would hermie

Nah no worries there. If its in the genes its gonna happen either way. If this type of stress caused hermies the entire cannabis world would be inundated with post after post, thread after thread of "dont top ur plants, dont take branches for clones" ur good dude.

I wouldn't cut anything off of those plants except what you take for clones from the bottom. Why the hell would you remove 1/3rd of the fan leaves on those plants? You should research photosynthesis. Those leaves are making food for the plant and they are not blocking anything. Removing them makes absolutely no sense. And if you're going to top them why would you chop off 1/3rd of the plant? Just snip the top growth.

No I absolutely wouldn't touch a top at 6 weeks nfc.

If you want to clone it find a green shoot from down inside the plant there'll be plenty that's a better option.
