Advices for my grown space

Hi folks, This is my first grow, and I'm very very limited in space, since my studio is super tiny. But I manage to use one of my cabinet for my project. I'm currently having 4 60w 5000k for my 3 plants. Do I have enough light? im planning on buy an 120w led ufo that I have found on eBay for $90.00. Let's say my budget is $200. Can I afford a decent growing process. And due to the space limitation. When should i start flowering these girls? Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

If you could find a way to make it hover so you could move it around when you need to would be good.

Cover the cabinet in fur and tell anyone who comes over that it is your pet stuffed bear.

Maybe you could live in shed outside and use the whole studio to grow in?

I have been growing pot for personal use for several years. I do it for around $30/oz., that includes seeds, soil, nutes, equipment and electricity. Don't spend any more money. Go to the library and get "Buds For Less, CFL Book". If you like it, buy it on Amazon or some place. You can read about it here: http://rollitup.org/t/buds-for-less-cfl-book.40884/

You will have a difficult time growing under the sink. Way too small, too damp, and too much other problems. (Go ahead and prove me wrong.

The problem you'll have in a small apartment is the smell. Once they get to flowering, they stink! Find a type that has low odor. Get a grow tent. Plan on no visitors for at least 3 months, because visitors attract thieves and cops. Have fun.

you could add a couple more cfl bulbs as long as heat isnt an issue, you should be running them on 12/12 from seed so you dont have to worry about too much veg.
little ufo should be good for that size space.
yeah bro i would suggest you pickup a pH tester, a bag of maxibloom (or preferred dry nutes) and some pH up thatll allow you to mix nutes to specific concentrations, keep pH in check and maximize harvest all for just a few bucks the pH tester is the most expensive thing.

Wow, you sound very knowledgeable, already ordered a 2.2 lbs bag online. And about ph up can I use baking soda instead? Thank you much.

Thank you for referring such an awesome book, I'm planning on such a budget because mainly on the lighting system since what I have heard CFLs produce the weakest light stream among all of the recommended bulbs for growing. I'm not worrying much about the smell, since I'm smokin indoor 24/7 lol, unless if it smell way stronger than that.

no i wouldn't, lemon juice is good to drop pH but we shy away from baking soda because its not a base its a salt (sodium bicarbonate) and so can only raise the pH to a certain point while also adding a bunch of sodium ions into your water which isnt exactly beneficial just higher levels of total dissolved solids
the pH will aso fluctuate wildly within a day or 2 so i just dont suggest it (im not sure what process causes it not to be stable in a solution but its no bueno imo)

Sure CFLs are weak, but A. they're cheap, B. they run cool, C. they can be placed anywhere! Every branch of my plants have a CFL within 3 inches, bottom branches, top colas, they all have at least one nearby light.

Here's the thing, every one of your CFLs can later be used through out the apartment. When a light burns out in the bathroom, take one of the older growing lights and replace. So really CFL investment is nothing, you were going to replace light bulbs anyhow. Besides, you can get bulbs for about a buck a piece. You can have one outrageous grow with twenty bulbs!

I think if you are going to become a farmer, those fancy sun lamps are the most efficient, least labor involved method. But if you're only growing a few ounces, something for you and maybe the occasional visitor, CFLs are a great way to get started.

As far as your water, check your local water company's website. I was surprised to find that the water company regularly monitors water pH so as to protect the water mains from corrosion. Win/win for them AND me!

Check out the led section, they're doing well with cree led screw in bulb replacements from home depot, or best bang cree cxa3070 cobs. I would use either of these over a cheap Chinese panel. On the vast majority of led grow panels on the market they advertise total watts the light would put out at full power, but only run them at 2/3 or 1/2 power. There's no warranty on a Chinese lamp. I wad told there was one when I bought mine, when it broke a year and half later I was told they would only ship the replacement part with my next order.

I just bought the cxa3070 cobs to replace it.

Used an old cell phone charger to power the fan.

The driver is running the cob at half power, about 48watts. Getting a driver to run full power shouldn't be much more.

$70 for a true 50w white light. No funny purple color to screw with your vision
