im a noob, but i hear its really easy to see black pots in the air so put em in the ground or mask them somehow.

where iam at they look for plants not pots.they use choppers and if u got what looks like to much then they will hover low and if they can will land and take it.

I have a friend who does air photos. He told me if they're doing it for engineers or something, then they're not that likely to notice unless you're growing in a pot that you spraypainted neon pink, given that you surround the plants by other plants that help it blend in. If they're specifically targeting pot growers, then you better hope they don't find you. Cannabis plants are extremely UVA/UVB resistant, which is easily noticeable through their cameras.

yea that shit always worries me...do they have to have a reason to look for plants, or do they just randomly look for plants everyhwere?

In the states they target areas where a lot of people grow pot. I don't know how it is in other countries.

I've heard from a cop that up here in Maine they don't have enough money to do flyovers anymore, and the only times they do them is if they've been tipped off, or if they know the people that have grown in past years. I'm located in northern ME, and there's so much woods that it wouldn't be worthwhile unless they had a tip. An 8000 plant grow got busted not too long ago, almost at harvest. It was a sad sight

My brother flies helicopters and Ive been up with him a few times and you would not believe how much pot sticks out. Let alone hoses foot prints in grass, black pots and garbage.
If you are around the plants and hear a helicopter don't move, take cover and stay still.
The true key is to spread it out and make it more work than worth while to land and pull 2 plants......just my 2...JR
