Aeroflo2 60 x LEDs, Trimming vs No Trimming

Looking good. Next round I would suggest to run 6-8 " rooted clones straight to 12/12 so that you can utilize all of your 60 sites on your aeroflo. I would do a trim after after 21 days (initial stretch) during your flower period. This is how I run my sog. No veg time, rooted clones straight to 12/12. I run hempy 2liter bottles drain to waste.

Yeah, that's kind of the plan for the next one. I let them get wayy too big this time so some that got shadowed at the bottom ended up dying while others, like my 4 foot Juicy Fruit, are towering massive. The ones that managed to get to the top are looking fantastic though: View attachment 2952604

As did some on the edges that were smaller yet getting good light: View attachment 2952605View attachment 2952606

About 4 more weeks til harvest, had a bit of a mold problem earlier in flower - but only on a few weaker plants and only on leafs, took care of it with some organic spray. Next time I'm doing the full 60 site (maybe 120 if I get the extension) and straight into flower and harvest every 2-2.5 months. I also added a 1000W flower HPS to my LEDs to increase the yield a bit. I need this harvest to buy more LEDs and the extension (not to mention the energy bills - heating in the winter is as costly as AC in the summer when you live in the desert).

Yo Kanaplya, nice job my man! I was just thinking of your girls. Looking very nice, very nice indeed! Yeah those bigger plants are gonna cost ya in weight, I know sounds pretty backwards huh. As you know perfect uniformity would have given you equal light distribution and all that good stuff. Sounds easy right. I have the same issues and have not been able to get this down myself on ANY of my scrog grows. I am getting better with every grow though, both in quantity and more important quality. I am gonna get a couple led's very soon for two different lockers to run a sea of green. Really want the new A51 190, but all the led folk tell me its too much for my application and suggest the hans panel. Anyways how do you like yours? The plants look great. Keep it up and us posted.

Thanks. I'm really happy with my LEDs, the girls seem to love them and it seems like as long as I keep the plants uniform and get even light distribution, I can really get a good yield out of this setup. Plus starting from clones straight into flower, I'd be harvesting every two months. I will post more photos in a while - wonder how big those colas are going to get.

Oh who knows bro, its really hard to tell the weight thing b/c they gain so much the last two weeks. All that matters is that they are happy and healthy. Jesus Christ we sound like two pregnant chicks!! On a side note though if you have room to keep a mother or two he'll you could put clones in every week and nine weeks later bam! You got a straight up small factory pumping out primo cannabis every week!

It would be really hard to put clones in every week since he has one resovoir for his whole setup

Yeah, I thought about that myself - the young ones would get burned by the nutrients meant for those in final weeks. I could make a little 10 or so plants nursery kinda like this little 6 plant thingy I put together the other day to test my 12/12 from clone before testing it on 60 clones, lol. Yeah, keep them separate for about two weeks while they build root systems and adapt to nutrients and then move them to the aeroflo.

If you have 60 clones I'm sure you would have no problem going 12/12. I'm about to take about 60+ cuttings and put them in my 120 site aero cloner and once they have some good roots I'm going to put them bitches to 12/12. Starting at around 600 ppm.

btw do you have moms

Yeah a nursery, that's perfect, you would just need one with more sites to put them in while they rooted. Obviously it'd be best to run a strain that is a light feeder so the jump wouldnt be too drastic. Then as soon as they root put em in the big one and we're back to factory status.:)

You start with 600ppms right from the start? Maybe I've been a little too careful, lol. I started at 150 working up really slowly. Yeah, I guess if I got only 8-9 weeks I should speed it up a bit.

Oh and no mothers. Gonna get a few seeds and start them in a tent so that maybe by my April grow I will have them grown. For now I just order my clones from a collective nearby.

Yeah I wasn't thinking earlier, severely baked, he's gotta have moms. That or a very generous buddy.

I got one place I go to where they only charge me $6 per clone and I know they are clean and guaranteed by them. Not a bad deal but still $360 per grow so I need some moms soon.

That is a fair price tag, but your right 360$ is too much because you only need to spend 6$ whenever you want a different strain to make a new mom from. Keep ya a few different moms of different strains. It'll take a little time to get fully brushed out moms, but 3 good ones could easily keep you stocked with clones. Take clones from just one of the moms a week, giving g the other two two weeks to grow new foliage. Actually this might be overkill, but four would maybe be best b/c it would give each one a month In between cuts.

Ever put clones on ice before? Really need a dependable location. Would definitely make it worth your time. Gearing up for a big legal grow and want to eliminate a liability in plant genetics we maintain if not 100% certain about performance from observed grow situations. Minus your additional 1000HPS and we will be running the same system. Only primary difference is we are running 100% LED with hang down(liquid heat sinks), full co2 augmentation, and 10x20 grow tens PACKED with to 60's + extendos. Kinda nutty, huh? Not to mention 1440 plants by the second cycle coming off 6 EZcloners. Shooting for 9 sets of 720 by the 19th or 20th cycle. Just wanted some input, first time I have talked about this on a forum seeing as this op will be back east.
