Now Take a look at mine.. These are the 2 girls im working with thanks to everyone on the fourm, the seeds came to me straight from the Hood. Cost me 50 bucks for an 8th of dank and low and behold 3 seeds came from the bag. Now here is the cool part. I saved these seeds for about 4 years in a plastic container. So 4 years go past and 1 day i saw an Aerogarden and thought :oim gonna try this out. Well its been 2 months or more and i came out with 2 hot females from 3 seeds. I planted them at the same time and even topped them. But one of them is a dwarf or somthing.. check it out

I just started my first grow in the AG Space Saver 6 (Not the Elite SS6) and then I thought, hey wonder if there is an AG grow guide yet? Thanks for all the great info and felt like I had to get in this thread.

I was absolutely guessing when I started this grow two weeks ago, and suffered some nute burn from bad information from another site that I got months ago (So maybe I just remembered it wrong, I am a stoner after all! ) using the AG tomato tabs. I started two at the same time in case one didn't take or was male, and the nute burn so far has only killed off the young leaves of one plant. Wish I had taken a pic before I trimmed those......

I also have to get my CFL's set up, but being a total newb, it prolly won't be long before something comes along that throws me off! But before I waste anymore time on the plant that did burn, it can still be saved? It is still growing at the same rate as the other with new nodes forming. Again, I need to add the cfl's and I'm hoping that gets them growing at a proper speed! Just went to take a pic and the batteries are dead, so I will get some up in the morning.
Thanks again everyone! You folks broke my RIU cherry!

Thasts interesting.. you got nute burn from the tomato nutes....?? I use those and havent had any issues.. it might be because your base is so small...

Yea, you are fine, just get those nutrient tablets out of there asap and flush with fresh water.

They probably just weren't ready for nutrients yet, make sure you incrementally start adding them starting with 1/4 to 1/2 tab.

Thank you guys, and I have to think that was exactly it, small base and bad info, I put in a full tab from the start. I changed the water a few days ago but was just going to start over if the burn wasn't going to recovery. I also added two 23W Sylvania Micro Mini CFL's so back to growing now I hope!

Yea, you should have waited before you put the tab in. Nute burn is almost always recoverable though.

Its good practice to wait 2+ weeks before even introducing nutrients, start with 1/4 dose and work your way up.

Here are my *Knock on wood* little girls. This is really almost two weeks, and I have to think that the slow growth is from insufficent lighting and overfeeding, which have both been corrected - I hope.

Looks like they're reaching a lot...can you bring the light to a lower height, or lower the AG light-arm?
It'll definitely help em out, so they don't have to keep reaching for the light

I think he has a space saver and thats as low as it goes. No worries though you can set it in lower increments as you go to get tighter node spacing.

Also, don't cut any part of the fanleaves off if you don't have to, those are the plants solar panels.

Spot on Lurk, thats as low as it gets on the Space saver. I am hoping that adding the CFL's will help stop the stretching. Thanks agin for all the feedback, Heads up's and tip of the trade! One day I'll know what's up!
Trial and error I guess right!?

is it true that certain parts of the AG get better light than others?
Specifically, the 2 middle ones on the back 4-pod half?

Turning pumps off completely after root growth is healthy?? Good or bad idea? How would I do this? Thanks!
i don't see any vantage turning off the pump as it circulates the water as much as putting in an air stone. i keep mine on as I have yet to see any adverse effects of it...:peace:

any other input on this as i'm just a newbie (2nd grow, 1st was a male!!!)

yeah... to be honest. None of us fucking no what the best method is.... were all newbies. I personally have never turned the pump off and have never had an issue.....

to each his own....

well, a "standard" 7-pod AG, comes with a pair of 26-watt AG CFL lights, 4 pods in the back and 3 in the front

lmao... i think its hilarious that this pictura has labels... lol
Are you sure thats the arm....lol

lol... im just fuckin with cha!

I have the same AG dude.... check out my grow on my signature..
I havent noticed a difference in pods as far as growth is concerned.. maybe the front right one.. that seems to be the biggest of my plants right now... how about you?:hump:

looking from the front, i've only had success with my right-side pods, strangely enough. Not sure if its coincidence, probably is...

you mean the front-right when you're looking at the AG from the front, or when you're looking at it from the back?

For reference :) All 3 are on teh right-hand side of the AG, the big MidGrade in front and the 2 smaller skunks in back
